Those lines up with my experiences too. I personally had someone dox me and harass me. I reported them and it was me who was banned 3 days for harassment. He is still around.

Are you surprised? Reddit is hostile to anyone not white cis-male. if enough people report you then it can quickly become a site ban. I was a former mod. They will ban you forever from reddit for the slightest things. Appealing does nothing. it was likely they made an error and it was meant to be permanent.

Also, reddit IP tracks so if anyone else connected to your IP and did something, RIP. My friend was perma banned for connecting to a friends wifi. Friend was perma banned from a subreddit. Reddit counted that as ban evasion and turned that into a site wide perma ban.

But, Reddit bans are pathetically easy to bypass.

No? Maybe at an enormous store. Most SMs make 6 figures though and get hefty bonuses. It's not an easy job and it's hard as hell to get promoted to SM.

Coaches make like 55k, 60k somewhere in that range. Also get decent bonuses. But they also have to deal with a lot of BS and have no life outside work. They're salaried so they are expected to answer calls and be available at a moments notice.

Maybe if they stocked cashiers instead of the self-checkouts in an effort to save money, they wouldn't have to rely on eagle-eyed associates to step in the line of loss prevention duty.

There are more associates at self-checks then were regular cashiers. Self-check outs are better.

Yeah, losing a few bucks worth of merchandise is much preferable to a employee getting hurt (or worse) in a violent customer interaction because they tried to actively stop a perceived theft. Not that Walmart cares about the employee, but it's an order of magnitude more expensive.

Also if the employee tried to stop a theft and there was no actual theft happening, that's potentially a different type of expensive scandal.

The people stealing often get aggressive. They can and will use lethal force. I'm AP and I wouldn't chase someone. Not worth dying for this company.

He's been open about how they initially bonded over trauma and mental health which by itself is a giant red flag. Boogie as a 48 year old grown man has had his entire adult life to attend therapy and process his trauma yet he's actively reducing himself to that of a 20 year old (19 at the time they first talked) who is young, inexperienced, vulnerable, and hasn't had much time to process whatever trauma she's going through so he can appear relatable, understanding, and trustworthy with clear intentions to develop a romantic and sexual connection. This is grooming. People need to stop sugar coating it. Boogie is grooming this girl. Just because she's of legal age doesn't magically eliminate her vulnerability and protect her from being taken advantage of by a grown man who knows exactly what he's doing to get what he wants.

To make matters worse, they aren't just dating. This girl now lives with him. Her support structure is now Boogie and Boogie alone, both mentally given their trauma bonding and now financially as well. There is so much wrong with this dynamic. It's like he's playing therapist, boyfriend, and father all in one. It's gross.

Cart pushing is absolutely brutal. There's never a moment of downtime. And you also have to dodge clueless drivers and deal with unrealistic expectations. Pushing carts is 110F+ weather is hard on you.

To me, minimum wage jobs really aren't for living off of. They are jobs you take when you first start in the work force and are either still living at home, or living with roommates, or on the rare occasion your retired and looking for a tiny bit of extra income.

The problem comes in 2 forms. 1st is that people assume these jobs should be for living. I'm not saying you shouldn't earn enough to put money aside to build a better future for yourself when your living at home or with a roommate. Not at all. But these kinds of jobs shouldn't have an expectation to pay for a mortgage. At bare minimum the salary of minimum wage should cover bare expenses based on location and 5-6 hundred extra per month. What someone does with that money is up to them.

The 2nd problem is that these companies don't do enough to prepare their workers to cycle into higher paying positions. What I mean by that is by the time your on your 3rd year you should already be on the way to becoming Supervisor. Once your supervisor and you've been there for 5 years if you aren't being built into an assistant management position, then that company should either help you find a place where you can be assistant manager, or give you the option to learn additional skills so you can work at a different job with real world experience. Obviously these numbers are arbitrary and can be anything, but my point is that companies should try and help you enhance yourself. Not everyone will stay with the company, but some will, and it helps build a good working relationship.

Problem is promotions are few and far between. Management promotes based off who they like; not who earned it. It also comes with a whole slew of BS. It's hard work for little pay. Salaried makes good money but, work 60-70 hour weeks and have no life outside the company. At least at walmart the next promotion is Store Manager but, good luck with that.

At least @ walmart our Store Managers make 6 figures with close to 75% paycheck as bonus. But, it is also a difficult job and the expectations are super high,

How is it "fucked up"? Walmart doesn't have a dress code outside of wearing jeans and a t-shirt/shitty walmart vest. If you want to wear shorts donate $5. Positions that allow you to wear shorts exist i.e. grocery/pick up, garden and cart pushing. FYI this is for CMN.

At the Walmart I worked at on early 2000s it was the opposite. We called the biggest dudes at the store to help if asset protection didn't think they could take the guy down. It worked out pretty good our store constantly hit the highest bonus because our inventory was on point
