Unsure. Israelis and Egyptians aren't allowing international news agencies in and there is a communications blackout.

It's likely we don't get an accurate count until far after the war and even then it could be a stretch.
I personally don't need a count from Hamas or IDF to realize shelling a densely-populated enclave is going to lead to many innocents dying especially considering the use of human shields, malfunctioning rockets, struggles to evacuate highly targeted area etc.
