That "we are Gods" scene was amazing. I really want to see this Loki meet up with Thor. His growth has been one of the best things about the MCU.

Why? It's the most diverse and safest area for minorities.

Astoria is like a 5 minute train ride to Manhattan. It's one of the most expensive areas of Queens because of that. Queens is otherwise huge and $80k as a single person is more than enough for most of NYC outside Manhattan.

Yes, it was A LOT easier just 5-6 years ago. Things have skyrocketed a lot since, but $80k alone is still very easy.

That's what I was thinking. Fury seeing someone with Groot's powers plus regenerative healing should immediately get him to start calling his friends. I don't think he knows G'iah has powers either.

I don't want to speak for Question, but labor arbitrage is simply lowering labor costs as opposed to paying the country's wages through either outsourcing or imported cheap labor who will work for low amounts.

"Lazy Americans" is a huge fallacy. There's tons of Americans working back breaking blue collar work all around the country and they always have. Sanitation in NYC is almost completely Americans, whether white or minorities. They start at around $40k and can easily work their way up to $100k in a few years. Even more with overtime plus pretty good benefits. No college or anything required. Similar with city construction workers.

Of course no American is gonna work for the $5/hour or less the undocumented get paid. They won't even do it for $15, because you can just work at McDonald's then. This doesn't mean they're lazy.

A worker shortage means business owners will have to up the wages significantly. All these businesses crying in FL vote Republican. That's why the flip flop happened so fast. DeSantis is on some dumb culture war shit, when the business Republicans couldn't give less of a fuck about that. They came at him hard and he conceded.

Ultimately, the people who benefit the most from undocumented workers are Republicans since they get to enjoy a giant supply of exploitable and dirt cheap labor.

Good episode though I'm not sure how to feel about all this "retroactivity" with Fury and the whole Skrulls thing. I don't get how it's that hard to find them a home, and it feels extra weird Carol is not here for any of this.

I liked the first episode. The seriousness was welcomed. I'm especially curious about Fury's trauma from the Snap.

Maria Hill was pretty shocking tbh. She's an OG, so it's probably a good point to finish off her character now, so she probably is gone.

You can't really pull the personal responsibility card, when student loans are set up like scams and don't carry the same protections.

Captain Marvel is pretty good tbh. Nothing amazing, but it's basically a Carol + Nick Fury buddy cop type movie. It's the most Nick Fury outside Winter Soldier.
