I think it still holds up as one of the goat jrpgs, but it was also the first one I ever played not long after its release, so it's hard to think around my bias. It was made by the dream team, after all. Seeing all 11? endings is fairly easy with NG+ and the music is unparalleled.

Check out Sea of Stars if you want a modernized homage and lots of direct and indirect nods to CT. Music by the same guy too, and you can def hear leitmotifs and ideas from CT get referenced.

I didn't know this. That's very cool
Stevie Wonder was virtually a one man band during his peak and recorded most of the instruments during his classic period in the 70s. Plus Prince as noted, Kevin Parker as Tame Impala, Beck, etc etc etc.

To your point, session/studio musicians also don't get enough credit for literally making the music because whoever writes the lyrics is the principle songwriter. Still lots of relatively true solo artists as well though.

If my partner could come with me, likely 1963 and entirely to be able to see acts like Floyd, Santana, Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Joplin, Byrds, Hollies, CSNY, Donovan, Supremes, Grateful Dead, Kinks, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, B.B. King, Simon & Garfunkel, et al live at most points in their careers. My actual vinyl collection is already large enough, with that cash ($50b in 2023) I'd have a copy of every album ever released. Hell, I'd work my way into the music industry as a producer or engineer or drum tech or whatever and end up on all these records myself in various capacities.

Go to Woodstock, drop acid at Haight-Ashbury, listen to Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X, help with civil rights movement, watch the moon landing, etc etc etc. 53 would be too culturally conservative and 73 would be too late for most of what I'd want to experience, though I would definitely miss all the modern tech advancements.

I likely wouldn't be alive long after the internet became common for most people, so I'd make fucktons of money near the end of my life based of knowledge of the future, with a will for 99% of it to be used in a philanthropic nature, with tons of trusts and money put into public education, the arts, ethical food production and consumption, affordable housing, UBI, etc. Boarded by committees of people with education and experience in those fields, with donations decided by a vote of the people it would affect.

Yeah.

I just finished an Insanity trilogy run through the Legendary Edition for my first (and likely last) playthrough. Got all the achievements, relatively little headache outside of a couple of battles. DudeShep, 100% paragon sentinel.

While I enjoy the setting and story, I often had my audio switched to my turntable, spinning a lot of vinyl during those dozens of hours, so I missed a lot. Even still, the culmination of it all at the end still has that weight to it, y'know?

Kept an autosave before the very last decision in the third game so I could see all four endings... control felt most like my Shep's destiny, destroy feels like it was intended from the beginning, and synthesis feels like the most positive though invasive.

Great games. Try to get explore as much as you can, it's a detail-rich world. Keep a bunch of saves, just in case.

It takes someone less than 1 minute to use a website like doordash dude. This is just nonsensical. Its fine if you want to save money, but you aren't saving any time. If you are going to spend 20 minutes, you might as well cook yourself something healthy rather than eat that shitty fast food.
Food isn't going to get to me in 1 minute, I still have to wait, and will likely take more than 20 minutes to be delivered. My view of saving time is from ordering food to eating food. If it takes me less time to do it myself, I've saved time, even if I drove. It's not like I'd be doing anything in between besides mindlessly waiting for food.

It usually takes us 40 mins or so to make a meal, so fast food is about half the time.

It could depend on what you're watching and the ambient light in the room, but I've never had a problem with darkness on my decade old Panasonic plasma. Blu-ray, Netflix, Disney+, Crave, YouTube, etc, streaming from an Xbox One S.

I never paid for proper calibration, but did mess around with all the settings to optimize for a cinematic experience. Basement home theatre room, one window with blackout curtains. Never been an issue for me.

I imagine a newer tv with HDR, especially OLED, would result in less lighting issues. But a sunlit room will still make it worse.
