I'll wait to see more, because even the initial trailers for the Mario movie had mostly weaker line reading from Chris, or lines that weren't even actually in the movie at all.

The biggest miss was that He already knew about Mayas death. If he didn't know about her death, that could have forced his world to start crumbling thus changing the landscape while your playing.

That would've probably be a sure way to make Ava the single most hated character in anything ever.

Except that said stories also have a bunch of dumb problematic stuff now that people are more scrutinizing of her.

You start to consider that there were probably a lot of really good young adult books that got buried by her series' runaway popularity, and were probably written by decent people to boot.

The game's pretty non-linear as you progress, so just saying what fight you're currently on isn't a good indicator of overall progress.

For what it's worth, the Hornet rematch isn't even a required battle to beat the game IIRC, but it is necessary for the better endings.

Has any main Pokemon region been shafted harder than Kalos?

• They were the first 3DS entries, as rough around the edges as that implies.
• Mega Evolution, the new regional gimmick, wasn't actually given to any of the new Kalos Pokemon (Mega Diancie wasn't added until ORAS iirc, and Ash Greninja probably only existed because the games didn't have any Kalos mega evolutions for Ash to use in the anime, and even that wasn't in an actual game until Sun and Moon).
• Not a single Kalos Pokemon got a unique Z-move or Gigantamax form.
• The games were shafted out of a definitive version/sequel, with Zygarde getting hastily thrown into Sun and Moon instead.
