Frosty Forest is awesome, I'm always down for songs with this rhythm. Tactics is some good synthwave-ish and it's enjoyable. Both are good, but I'll take Forest.

This is certified fungi beats. The piano intro is gentle and the song keeps me well engaged on it, very neat. LMO is a solid ambient song. I feel these are even too. But I'll pick the mushroom one.

Oh boy, 123. A song I'm crazy conflicted about. It's very pretty, but I have my problems with it. This isn't VGMC though, so my milleage will vary. Impact is interesting, but not much else to say about it.

Yeah, looks like today is a clean Deemo sweep, good job!

• Mutants has a fun instrumental and the rapping fits well, cool song. Anarchy Rainbow is your standard Splatfest song that's designed to get catchy as hell; and the chorus works pretty well on that regard, I always have a like for this type of rhythm. Pretty even match here... let me go with my more familiar pick, then.
• Panic in the Sky continues to be very sick, the vocals being my favorite part. I do wish it was longer, though. Oh damn it, I love Octo-endemic samples very much. This song isn't messing around either. Uhhhhhh... octopi time. But it was a close choice.
• Awesome, give me the funky turtles. Love this one! Whirpool is nice, but the good part takes a lot to slip in. This one was kind of a slip.

Well, I like Genshin's music at times, but Live a Live is just a sweet spot for me. Let's see how it fares!

Sakura Sakura fans must be joyous about this Genshin song. It's a cool beat, I like it. I think I like the original MM more than the remaster, but nevertheless it is a banging effort for a timeless melody. I think I have a choice here.

Mittsommer caught me with the acoustic solo bit, it's pretty nice and attractive specially towards the end, good job. Psycho is amazing though!! Perfect remaster for this song really, they just needed to give it that upbeat flair and they sure got it amazing. Don't get me started in those solos either. It will take a lot of effort to vote against this.

This song builds pretty well and continues being epic throughout, nice job again Genshin. Ooooh, some good sax on here. It's not my ideal vision, but it keeps a good pace, yeah it's good. Hard choice. Let's go with Irresistible, then.

Weight of Life is nice, behaves like typical Xenoblade. Irish Rock is cool. I think I like Xeno just a bit more.

Fort is nothing special, but also doesn't sound like anything I've heard in Xeno before, that's cool I guess. Northern Wilds has a nice beginning. Wins me enough.

*wakes up* Oh what the heck, arrange of Drifting Soul??!! Hell yeah, this rules. That's how you win me over! This is amazing!! Best song by a mile today, it seems. Back to Epic... Hm, this OST seems to be into Pirates of the Caribbean. It's a good song, but I have a hard time taking that title seriously. And sheesh, Kaleidoscope is such a high bar. Brightens my day!

I like both Sunrise and Nilah very much, I just gotta listen to know which one hits more today (...) Okay, I'm going Nilah, but make no mistake this match can go either way for me.

Stygian is kinda nice. Renata is also just okay. Hmmm... after relistening, Stygian sticks out more, weak match though.

Piston Lake is pretty good, the drops are the best part but it keeps itself constantly good. K'Sante is such a banger, though! Hard to say no to it, League's music just continues to surprise me.

Heya, first time voting. I had no idea what to nominate, but I am willing to educate myself on the contending OSTs and give it a shot at voting.

NFS has been growing up on me ever since VGMC. This song gives me chills at times, and now I'm a bit happy it retired. Daring is also pretty good, definitely like it better than the VGMC days.
Psychomeddler is still a ok song for me, with some stuff to compliment. for Trick or Track, I like how I can feel the bo en composition translated to it and has a very energetic beat.
Roche Limit is a interesting song for me, it feels like something that gets better as it goes, but has also many elements that makes it distracting from what it wants to achieve. Great song overall, though! I have the same comments for Keep Up as I do for Trick or Track.

I'll say today is pretty even, the last two votes are close calls plus my clean preference for NFS.

I'm not in an appropiate mood to comment my impressions, but I'll say I've never heard something like Bounce Man Arrange in my life. These are a nice pack of four to finish off round 1. On to Round 2!

Acoustic and electric guitars, always a good combo for an arrange. This melody is also very cool! I'll say it's a bit standard, but I enjoy it. Let's see.... ouch, I forget the original Proto Man whistle hurts my ears. This melody is very iconic though; it even feels out of place for the franchise, but still welcome in. I enjoy how long it lasts too, gives it more value. I think these two are in the same level, I'll take Ending out of more familiarity, but FT is welcome with open arms should it win.

To be perfectly honest I wasn't expecting MM9 to get represented in Smash, and this is one of the best remixes of the game period. The band style just adapt so well to an already great melody, and the solo section is amazing too. Hard to dislike it really, it's so good. On the other hand, we have a really upbeat theme here. This song struck me the most when playing 4, very memorable melody and the third bit keeps up the energy of the first very well. Another ridiculously stacked match, but I'll walk like a egyptian today.

Oh hey, that's the guy of the eurobeat remixes. This is surprisingly good, and it uses the MMX elements in a very original way. Good candidate to go far. Entrance is such a interesting song to me. It starts with a rather silly sound and builds on it a striking piece. I just gotta love how well used is the repeating notes. Tough match, but MM7 is the way to go.

Spark Mandrill is so damn perfect, I think it represents everything I like about X1. In-your-face composition, catchy melody, kickass guitar, and the drum solo to make the loop is the icing on the cake. Hell yeah, Spark Mandrill rules so hard. Near 10. For Your Winds is really good! Nice vocals and the instrumental stands up on its own while also being very danceable. Good stuff. Hard task to be against Mandrill, but nonetheless a respectable effort.

That's like the second or third corner where I love everything, and it's gonna get worse from here too.

Well, what do you know, Armadillo continues to sound good. Haven't heard all of Aoki's material, but he does a good performance here. I can live with this, it's not going the extra mile but it supplies what it needs to supply. This other is pretty good, I like that brass intro and the latter guitar solo is also baller. This impressed me, good job. Mijinion fo today.

Ohh, I really like this melody, sounds very hopeful. Instrumentation doesn't hold it back either, in fact, all works pretty well. Very good stuff here. Meanwhile, boy Dark Man is such a good song. I like the Proto Man whistle in the intro and the instrument variety is pretty good. The brass section sounds really epic too, it's my favorite part. I think this remix caught my attention decently while researching the game, and even during nominations. Yeah, I think even with ZX's big efforts I'll still take Dark Man. But what a close match!

Snake Man is a good song, and the instruments mix well. I continue to wonder what's the big appeal of this album, honestly; but the extra sections of the song are enjoyable. PX2 works okay, and the guitar bit is pretty good, but being this short hurts it a bit. Eh, enough for me to vote, I suppose.

Not that surprised by this artists anymore after three listens, but it's still solid fusion after all. I think I'm not that hooked on it because I prefer Opening Stage being upbeat, but it's a very respectable take and I like how the melody is used. Speaking of Opening Stage, the original still kicks ass, and it's such a perfect song to get you pumped into the action, with the guitar leading all the way through. This song is always welcome. Easy vote.

Jeez, I was supposed to vote last night and fell asleep and didn't. Alright then...

Dude, I love Mega Man arranges that make melodies feel natural and acoustic. This one gives a very nice coastal adventure vibe, and it keeps me engaged all the way through. Fantastic, really. Ohh, on this other side we have some really good chiptune. The intro is mysterious, and the song goes on a nice intensity. Wow, tough as hell match here. Splash Woman is just much more impressive, but Enigma deserves its flowers as well.

Hot damn, I wasn't expecting this medley to turn into this! The vocals and this electro elements are really impactful. Crystal Snail's melody sounds very nice and Chill Penguin's is even better. What a crazy transformation we got into this, and I'm all out for it. Tundra Man... yeah, this is also just as great. Adventurous jazz-like tracks like this are always lovely to be around. Why did this corner happened to be so stacked? Agh, picking Nippy, but Tundra deserves the win as well.

Corners with this much goodness needs to be researched.

Another very solid track from X1 right here, the orchestra hits from the beginning are super fun. The melody at the end section is very epic too. No wonder this was super popular in nominations. Let's see this medley then... oh, this is Yoshimi Kudo, checks out how it made it here. The initial X vs Zero part doesn't sound that good, but from the 2 minute mark on forward it's pretty cool. That means I'm just mixed on it, and I'll take the solid track instead.

Wait, this melody is similar to... *goes away for 20 minutes*... Unforgettable, The Nostalgic Greenery from Touhou 15! Wow, what a nice similarity to find around here, but I digress. Bubble Crab is pretty great, good use of the SNES soundfont. The balance of the calm and the rocky section are great too. I'll be checking this song more often. As I love whales, I might be a little biased about this next track. Well, it's nice, it's pretty mysterious and has a nice atmosphere. Some one-of-a-kind elements as well, I would have liked to see this in-game! I'll go with the crab this time, but well played to Mr. Duff.

Wow, voting coming kinda late from me today.

Ah yes, I love Kirby music. This is definitely one of the most uniue themes out of the classic series, and that melody is pretty nice. Pretty nice song, glad it got here. On the other hand, we have a pretty rocking track using pads very wonderfully. Can't say I remember it sounding like that, but I like it just as the same level as Sheep Man... this one is tough. Sheep...? Yeah, Sheep.

I still think Wonder Panorama suffers from not being the remastered version, even if it's a unpopular opinion; but it's a nice song nonetheless, don't have a lot to say for it though. This Rockman 3 arrange is sublime; I mean, Proto Man is called Blues, so makes sense this theme is fit for a slow rock take. The vocalist is strong and the guitar kills it too. I feel an arrange with this composition would be the perfect way to go if there was a MM3 remake. Hell yeah, uneven match, I'm afraid.

While I don't like it as much as more faithful remixes or the original, this RockMen version is still fantastic with its acoustic instruments. I'm down for it to sweep the entire contest, hell yeah. EC is good, I don't think I'm rocking with it though. I like this xylophone-ish pad thingy and how the chorus is sung. I think I can look forward to either song winning, but Flutter gets my vote.

This melody is catchy! Yeah, I'm starting to see why people love Network Transmission, that's two banger discoveries by now. Pretty nice track. Navi Customizer in the other hand, it's really soothing and has some great sections into it. Very hard choice here. Hmm... picking Navi, why not. Let me be clear I love both, though!

Galaxy Man, Galaxy Man, you always will be a handsome man. Yeah, this song is a hit, I liked it since my first listen. Has a very high shot at winning this entire contest, it's catchy and can carry you through a entire level. I just like it, dude. About Primrose, uh it's fine. There's nothing I find particularly remarkable about it, the instruments are original I guess. I'll just stick with UFO Bro.

Woohoo, band arrange! Very customary of SNES arrange albums. I enjoy the melody, it's very heroic. Solid overall, I can get behind it, good stuff. Woah, this time signature intro! I like the transitions from crystal pad to rock section to crystal pad again. Very simple and inspiring, I'll note this up for future listens. I'll pick the Snail, but it's a close match, any of them is a good winner.

If certain monkey didn't existed, Armorded Armadillo would be my favorite stage theme from MMX. Such a charming and intense theme, hard to get tired of it, great stuff. Great Battlers is intense, I can feel it! Unfortunatey, doesn't get to do enough for me. Easy choice.

Woah, somebody's getting murdered in this intro... Yeah, anyways, I just don't seem to vibe with this album, it appears, this is just fine. The glitchy thingies, the additional melodies and the other tracks cameos are cool, but I don't feel too interested overall. Doesn't help that Tornado Man is already a chiptune track, so it's harder to twist it. Oh well, props where it's due. On to Marino.. yeah, this track is great. Pretty marino and pretty pleasant if you ask me! Way to sway my vote like that. Good job!!

Oh, one painful corner we have here. Let's see...

Falling Down is such a enormously epic melody, I just can't wrong with it. This version is pretty kick ass and the guitars are straight and on point. Beautiful! Ground Man... hmm, I mean it's good, but I don't think I like it as much as the 16-bit originals. Nothing that really calls my attention. But it's still a good melody so points for that. Maybe I'll like it more if it passes this round.

Air Man's remix caught my attention very rapidly when playing Smash 4. Very humble energy to it, plenty of variety on the instruments and I also really enjoy the occasional solos! Hard to dislike really, it's just very solid and well made. On the other hand, Metal Man is a very iconic song and always solid. Not much to say, I won't mind if it ends winning it all.

Abnormal Gravity is, well, abnormally great! The time signature is enjoyable and everything in general sounds really peculiar and good. Very nice! Jakob is pretty rocking, I'm betting it's a character theme alright. It's very solid... hmm... tough choice. Abnormal Gravity it is.

If I'm honest, I'm not sure if this Gravity Man remix captures well the feel of the original, a little too upbeat for my taste, but regardless, it bangs! I think I enjoy it just enough. Gravity Beetle is great! It would make me think of a bull Maverick for some reason, haha. But yeah, it's just your common SNES X goodness. Choosing it, but must say it is a close match.

I liked all songs about the same, so Round 2 is also gonna sting.

Both tracks of the first match are sick! I think I'll choose Sigma 1, it's so iconic, but Departure is just as good of a winner. Take Back the Tower is fine, I'm kind of not feeling it, I can respect some good J-fusion though. Solar Inferno isn't my fist pick from 10's music, but nonetheless it is a solid track and charateristic from it. I'll take it.

Wily 1 is still an iconic gem as ever, very daring melody and nice use of the soundfont, and surprisingly long too. I like it, it is full of greatness. On the flipside, Apple Market is a song that's been stuck in my head since I watched Mega Man Legends for the first time. Catchy and uite welcoming for a town, even for how short it is. I think I'll pick it! But there's little songs I'd not pick Wily 1 over.

Wily Field sounds just okay, it's built like a western song for some reason. I'm pretty sure I've heard better from this game. Oh, people wasn't kidding when they said Zero 2 was Lunatic Eyes. Well, other than that, this song is pretty danceable, and I like the eurobeatish intro. I approve! Easy choice

Majorly in favor of Option 3, and then Option 1. I don't think the others are really good. I feel well with giving spaces with people with no nominations considering the tight space, a very selfless act.

ADDITION: I wanted to send a thought about the cutoff point for qualifying for the tournament (the bubble): it would be great if doubles were treated exactly the same as two unique noms. The reason for this is that we each only have one double, so I feel it really needs to count. It could be disappointing for many otherwise. Granted, this may not matter if we just do play-in matches.

I support this, and if there is a sizeable number of doubles + 1, consider giving some spots to them
