Yeah, the being a pervert is funny gags are definitely the worst thing about this show, by far. Rest of the show is damn near perfect, but those certain moments can get kinda rough at times.

It particularly hurts since Sanji was my favorite Straw Hat after the Baratie arc, but Oda has so meticulously assassinated his character over the years. He wasn't insufferable in earlier arcs like Alabasta or Skypiea and Whole Cake show he can still be good if he's written for character and not just that one damn gag... But then he slips back into a lot of stupid shit in Wano.

I forget which one that was, but I will admit some of the perv jokes do work so Sanji as a ladies man is still fine, there's just a line that I feel we don't agree on.

It's tragic. Oda never seems to get over this old fashioned Japanese comedy idea that a pervert is hilarious and peeping on women is comedy gold. Even now he's still doing it.

Other anime are all ripping off a lot of his traits tho..

Yeah, he became even less of a character.

Luffy can be accused of a lot of things but not having character is not something I thought I would see since it's usually his impulses and desires that move a lot of the plot.

I'm still slightly ahead at watching One Piece since I'm watching the arc after the one you're on; Whole Cake Island

They don't pause to show you the character models for one second; they're evening running when they first show you all the characters. They don't pause running for a second to show off the environment, and the "platforming" is just bouncing and shooting off at high speed.

I'm not even saying it couldn't be a fun autorunner.

In this very short very old trailer for the first Sonic Adventure Sonic visibly stops moving for a moment and changes direction around 15 seconds in.

DKC 2 trailer; they're usually doing stuff but you can tell that they pause briefly and change directions all the time. It's not just one solid flow of movement like that new trailer for Sonic Dream Team:

but looking people apparently call it and horizon rpg series, this seriously explains my distaste for modern gaming then if this is what jrpg means now. Not that I dislike action games with skill trees but to me that's not an rpg

That bit was pretty cool. Oda has a lot of great panels where you're like "oh man that guy is totally dead". Of course a lot of times they aren't because Oda but man some of those panels are really well timed for maximum shock.

The live action was pretty good. There were some changes I wouldn't have made personally, but most of those were personal issues. Overall I'd see more of it.

I mean, I'm no expert on his life; he might not now, but there's no way he wasn't more interested in video games when he started avgn. He has enough believable memories and thoughts on games and I find it difficult to believe he'd start filming himself talking about something he didn't give a shit about even as a one off side project.

This and the Whole Cake Sanji arc are both Sanji's gmmick finally being used in a way that isn't totally creepy

The first only time I got hate mail on PSN after beating some guy on Tekken It was kind of hilarious actually, It kind of made me feel flattered that he was that annoyed by losing to me

FF7R is not like FF15 or FF16 where you can literally hold X to win. I wouldn't say normal mode is difficult but it demands attention from the player, especially since the game encourages you to switch between all your characters to build up ATB faster.

Hard mode is mostly about using powerful builds to remain self sufficient enough where you don't need to use a lot of MP. Prayer and Chakra are normally weak on Normal but essential on Hard.

Maybe you could hold x to win, but I was terrible at 15.

Using the Simpsons one was a benchmark unfortunately most things probably aren't going to cut it.

Might have better luck just letting people nominate more and lower expectations; there's likely going to be more votes if it's actually up than this at least.

That said Brook may sometimes be predictable but imo in whole cake they had the best Brook joke so far when he basically broke the fourth wall and yelled at the audience for assuming he was about to make a skeleton joke about having no face to lose

Thats what I love about him. Hes probably the only crewmember that CHOOSES to be dumb. Hes actually really smart, and even ran his own organization for years that was WAY bigger than the Strawhats, but he legit just enjoys being the guy who takes care of the ship and can run around in his underwear.

Personally, I think Brook is the other one that does that. You can tell he has wise words when he chooses, and a zenlike patience. He's older than the others by a considerable amount and has seen a lot; and to stop himself from falling into depression when he was alone he chose comedy and high spirits; most likely what he learned as a Rumbar pirate. Every day he wakes up and choose smiles (not that he can change his expression because he's a skeleton) and laughter instead of letting his despair crush him.

I think he was thrilled to be with people where he can be lighthearted and silly and really mean it. But every now and then you see the serious Brook. He is not going to let his crew down again, even if it kills him again.
