Basically don't use the cheap shit from the grocery store checkout line to charge your phone
@Yellow
just got a new wall charger from a local convenience store that had the type c fit i needed, it also has a fitting for the other type. i hope its good.

what's weird is when i charged with it, it said charging and it did end up charging, had me worried because it usually shows a time of how much left to charge which it didn't.

however based off your other post, if i end up with charging issues again, will powering it off then charging do the trick? just hope nothing wrong with the phone itself, it'll be a year next month that i've owned it. never been dropped or anything.

went away for 20 minutes and it was at the same percentage, all it said was charging. i restarted the phone then twice after letting the battery go down it charged. does this sound like the cable? cat knocked it over last night, the cable. the cable plugs into the phone but isn't the cable for it, i have the original but need a wall charger that fits it.

i don't know a whole lot about phones tbh, just started using them in the last two years if you could help. thank you.

You could clean the contacts but otherwise idk
turns out from an old reddit post that the zr, zl, and c stick can glitch on new 2ds/3ds models where the only thing you can do is exit the game, or restart the system. i doubt its a matter of cleaning them as this is the only game i used the buttons for. they work perfectly after a restart.

i think i remember logging in to an old modem that it said unsecure connectivity as well.

Well concerning this one, any ideas as what to look into and change?

Its been so long since i accessed the modem for the older internet, where I just don't know what to do. I'd appreciate it.

is it normal for a modem page to say not secure? i looked up the ip as it wasn't listed on the modem. i signed it, it said warning browser not supported. everything else looked normal but don't know how to do anything, there's no firmware update options.

awhile back i set the dns on wi-fi to google's, but a couple of times since it hasn't wanted to load pages mainly gamefaqs. then i stop it and load something like reddit for example then it loads. before it wouldn't load anything for long periods until i went into wi-fi settings and set it to googles.

Not malware or anything related? What about changing the DNS in the wi-fi to Googles? Don't have access to the router/modem log in page, don't believe we received it when getting the internet.

Or something like that, for the past few days my sister and me have had connection issues, keep resetting router plus Chromebook and its a temporary fix, sometimes the internet works for awhile then that keeps happening. Sometimes it begins again pretty quick. Her phone and Chromebook are doing this, my Chromebook too. Not brother and moms devices though.

Seems like this started since the last update. Anything easy I can try? Its unlikely malware right, I read err name could be related. Its not just happening to me as mentioned.

The connectivity app said its DNS related, the tabs when they don't load say the err name thing, wi-fi is connected when this happens, just cant connect to anything.

was the current battery amount 74, or the battery health at 74

there's a difference
@Shrek

Pretty sure it was battery health as I don't think the amount has ever been that low due to it mostly being on charge.

I guess these holidays I need to request a new Chromebook. This one was $129, amidst the current issues, has pretty poor speakers to. I got this one only on the fact that it has a longer end of life in terms of updates, but don't think it will last that long if the battery is that low already.

If the liquid got into the circuit board or the contacts on the switches, it could cause them to short circuit until the liquid evaporated, which is usually only seconds if you've really sat there and tried to concentrate the liquid.

I doubt this would cause any real harm, since basically pressing on the key closes the contacts, so the worst that could happen would be some extra characters on the screen.

Unless your keyboard has LED backlighting, in which case there could be more voltage going somewhere it shouldn't. But this is extremely unlikely. The circuitry generally isn't just sitting exposed, you'd really have to work at it to get the liquid down into the circuit board. And it would only be for a few seconds or less before the liquid evaporated.

@captpackrat

That's actually why I used the dust remover, is because on my Chromebook in the span of a few months, an extra string of random numbers and letters have appeared after what I type 3 times. The last two being in the span of a few days. Is that always the case of a faulty keyboard or could it be software? Doesn't happen all the time, just those 3 times, with the last two being more close and recent, sure its not the last of it.

I was told to do a keyboard diagnostic and all it did was tell me to hit 4 random keys, I hit around 8 and didn't know if there was more to it, nothing happened or showed up.

Was more concerned to see that the battery life was at 74%, only been using it a year to a year and a half. This Chromebook was on the cheaper end, $129, but the main reason I got it was because it will receive updates until 2028. Guess, it wont even last that long, unless you can still use it when the battery life is dead? Not sure how it drained so much, I do keep it plugged in often as I don't have it leave the spot its in. I close it when I'm not using it.

I had the system off when I sprayed it, couldn't hold it upright to spray in the keys. Liquid sprayed out at least 3 times. I immediately turned it back on to see if it was ok, using it now as I type this but worried about long lasting effects.

Also the reason why I sprayed the keys is there's been 3 instances in the past few months where when I type sometimes a string of random numbers and letters appear. This happened twice in the last few days, and once a few months ago. Not sure what causes it.

Was surprised, got a spam email in Gmail from someone from another country wanting money for their company.

The reasons I'm surprised is, I never receive spam and if I do its usually legit emails misplaced and even that is rare. If I am getting spam, not sure how it works but I assume Google don't allow them to pass. The other reason I'm surprised is, I keep a very low key presence online. I just hope this doesn't become a regular occurrence now. I'm guessing and hoping that, it just fell through the cracks and ended up receiving it.

Just nervous now as this is the first fraudulent spam email I've received on this email, I use to on my old Aol email, but was a kid back then and wasn't as nearly as cautious as I am now online.

Doesn't seem to update unless I go in Playstore and do so myself.

Its unlikely malware or anything related? Only thing I do on the phone is stream anime from a 3rd party anime site on the Brave browser, I never downloaded anything on it or anything like that. Besides the Brave browser, an authy app, and Malwarebytes.

I saw today it dropped last night from 93% to 77%. I kinda thought yesterday it was dropping a little faster. Anyway to find out why, think its anything to worry about? Please help, thanks.

I have quit alcohol, numerous times and its not that easy. Especially the longer you drink, but the longest I quit that was a year and a half. This has been on my own, with no help.

Well, with coffee, my medication doctor wants me to quit. I find the idea so hard though, plus I drink 3 pots a day.

I have always dealt with severe anxiety, and coffee might not be so good with a number of medications I take, including Lithium. Even with my numerous medications I deal with severe depression and anxiety, I know that I am treatment intolerant as well, but wondering if stopping coffee would make any difference.

I guess all I can drink is water, don't get me wrong I love water and drink a lot of it as well, but it would just be nothing but... water, all day, everyday.

I'm worried how much less energy I'm going to have if all I drink is water.

I have recently gotten into this, I had it on my old phone and now have it on this new phone since December. Wondering if its maybe because of my old phone? Haven't touched it in ages. Just making sure its nothing major is all.

I know when I was using both phones it would say it between both quite often, but haven't had that one on in a long while.
