I believe I mentioned here a while ago that I was working with the agency Amber Glow as a video editor. Due to some internal restructuring, I'm now the manager of their official Youtube channel (mostly just a title though. my job hasn't changed much, lol). So pretty much all videos there going forward will be edited by me.

I used to get a lot of gifted memberships but then when youtube changed it so that you don't have to toggle it on for each new open membership on each channel, I haven't gotten a single gifted membership.

It was probably all about kayfabe honestly. Since then the landscape has changed massively and most of the streamers don't even pretend they are their character anymore, it's more just traditional streamer interactions.

Twitch ads work because because it's focused on live content. If people had to deal with that shit on relatively short videos they would immediately be pissed.

Those will likely show up when/if it goes through at a national level, but looks like they got at least some protection from the gloss over on the article.

People vastly underestimate how hard it is to fight more than one person at a time. It's 2 would be overwhelming, 3 is a guarantee. Most of what you learn through martial arts isn't going to save you in those situations, the best you can do is focusing on protecting yourself and hope you don't die or hope they get tired.

I had my entire yard tore up to fix... Basically everyone in my neighborhoods cable lines, because apparently my yard was a Nexus of "below code" wiring.

Shit grew back in like two three weeks and doesn't look any different.

I assume sewer line would be way more in depth, but they're going to get it done regardless most likely, it'll get back to normal. Unless they have to destroy a structure or some such to fix it.

I used to not care about politics, kept out of them because I always believed that things would balance out in the end, and maybe they will, but at this point we're really at a point where you gotta ask "how bad will it get before the scales even out?"

Yes. The one on the right is a streamer/vtuber known as KSon that won a contest/skills show to be featured in the game.

They are a mature topic, but most talking points are completely dominated by immature people.

I just think it's good to be honest about the economy and base it on actual facts and not "vibes". Can and are people having bad times? Yes, and I don't think anyone will deny that. But that's different than saying the economy is bad and making people think it's bad for everyone or that nothing has been done under Biden

The thing is about takes like this, is that no one cares if the economy is good for the nation or upper class in general. No one cares that money is being made. Vast majority of people care that they're getting reamed from every direction with costs going up on literally everything, constantly seeing in the news companies posting record profits companies, and seeing no relief in sight for themselves.

Not to mention the looming dread from AI, the job landscape changing incredibly fast, and a variety of other issues. "The economy is bad" is code for the population saying "I don't feel valued and only see doom ahead "

But, we won't do anything really to address that because poor people matter less than ever these days apparently, and we like seeing numbers go up for the tip top folks.

So, the vibes do matter because the worse they get the faster we end up walking to an inevitable cliff. Or rioting possibly.

It's not a bad game. I didn't care for it, but that I know that doesn't make it bad.

Combat was super unsatisfying to me, and I'm really tired of timeline shenanigans stories.
