I played one of the stages on little big planet 2

It seemed faithful based on videos of the actual stage. Got the music,menu, and art style down. Only problem was that the fps would dip below 30 lol..

I've never played an actual touhou game tho. Not my type of genre. Only know about the series because of little big planet and people who keep mentioning its characters in fictional character battle forums lol.

wow endless ramps up fast. felt invincible until wave 40 when elites started doing decent damage on me. died in wave 49 after getting hit by one of the brute mooks as i was camping in a corner. i didnt think itd kill me near instantly when i had 115 armour lol. also yeah i had most of the screen filled up w/ turrets at that point.

Some tips on endless.
* Lifesteal is limited to 10 HP per second. Your healing will have to come predominantly from consumables like gardens.
* Pocket Factory + Trees + Engineering. Your DPS mostly gets capped at 6x tier 4 weapons and turrets & mines are a way to fake having more weapons than you can carry.
* Explosion Damage and Explosion size.
* Most weapons aren't viable in late endless waves. Look out for these in particular: wrench, screwdriver, nuclear launcher, shredder, rocket launcher, obliterator, Gatling laser, plasma sledgehammer.
* Stack ricochet and piercing
* And should go without saying but Max out dodge and armor as high as you can get it
* Also be on the lookout for a belt that does extra damage to elites on crit

i tried him with 3 shurikens + 3 knife combos. was doing good damage with crits. i think i just need to increase dodge, armour, and add a bit of life steal to survive. ill try again soon

I thought it was implied by the description talking about buildings that you kind of had to run engineer on streamer. I still agree with you though and think he is kind of annoying to play.

yeah i dont think ill ever attempt streamer again. way too stressful lol

just beat arm's-dealer. pretty fun character tbh. felt very powerful. still died about 8 times though since id neglect armour and health regen for pure damage >:). but played it safer my last run

last character remaining is Hunter. Just played him rn and died at wave uhh 12 i think. got overran by enemies lol.

streamer sucks IMO. i tried beating it without resorting to engineering at least a dozen different times. just doesn't seem possible to me :(. also was way too weak to kill any elites and bosses.

King became pretty powerful once i got 1 red weapon (the stick) and then it just ramps up from there as i found/combined more. managed to kill elites and the bosses within 10 seconds or so.

on previous playthroughs, id fail when i lacked any reds and the enemy count ramps up somewhere past wave 10

also dreamt about Brotato last night. i barely remember the details tho. I was stuck in an airport/hotel place and there was some type of brotato theme going but idr too well.

i have two characters left but cant play them yet. I still have to obtain +300 range and recycle 12 weapons within one game.

Streamer is frustrating

And then went and did golem. the 1st try i used shotguns,smgs, revolvers. the build was weak af since i put so many points in armour and dodge and wasnt able to roll a lot of range damage. only did chip damage to the elites/bosses even after a round was almost complete. died in wave 20 with about 15 seconds left.

then managed to beat my 2nd try w/ knives. -10% damage but my melee damage was high enough to hit 170+ damage w/ crits (red knives were critting 100% of the time). killed elites and bosses pretty quick. quite a few scares in waves with Junkies and got down to like 2 hp in one wave w/ a croc elite + junkies.

I just camped out in the corners and moved out of the way of projectiles and charging brutes most of the time lol

i got 5 characters left. two of them i still have to unlock lol (i believe its hunter and arm's dealer)

beat engineering which took a few tries. eventually got it powerful enough to at least kill both bosses at the end

Didn't play brotato today cuz was busy playing oddworld abe's odyssey. I did beat that game today. Some parts were so fucking frustrating and im glad to have 100% it lol.

The best thing is to pick something where attack speed doesn't matter. Try an engineer build but still grab lots of elephants and cyber balls when you can.

I just beat saver and renegade not too long ago
renegade took me about 3-5 tries. i was unable to kill the bosses at the end. they had like an inch of health left. Felt pretty safe with the lifesteal so was low stress.

Saver is OP af. Reminds me of farmer. Seen the highest damage values with this so far I think (unless fisherman was higher w/ sticks but IDR anymore). saver took me around 3-5 tries. i played it a few days ago but didn't complete it. today was a 1 go once i figured out not to reroll as often. Did feel pretty squishy tho and nearly died a few times from mobs and elites/ bosses but managed to save myself.

ok i looked it up. it averages out the enemy speed, health, and damage into a percentage. so the toughest mode would be a d5 182% run

my plan after beating all the characters is going back to fisherman and trying for highest bait on wave 20 run. that seems fun af!

Are you cracked at the game or do you have like some accessibility options on?

ive kept those options default in the menu (100%). afaik if you lower or increase like the enemies speed itll have percentage on the win screen

ive been playing at 120 fps tho since it no longer crashes (there was a performance patch not too long ago).
Maybe that helps on top of using a controller (dualsense that i've overclocked to 1000hz polling rate. it has less than 1 ms input lag)

Old - Felt OP af! very fun. used 3 submachine guns and 3 shotguns. took 1 attempt.

Ranger - pretty strong. by wave 20 used 2 submachine guns, 1 minigun, 1 revolver, and two shotguns. took 1 attempt

Generalist - average power. took me 5-10 tries. used 3 spears, 2 sling shots, and 1 submachine gun my last attempt.

Farmer - Most OP character I've played so far imo. 1 shotted. just used pruners but could have switched it up for sure since i had many resources. that said the pruners were doing like 200 regular damage and w/ crits around double that so didn't feel like changing them lol.

Pacifist - Took me a few tries this one. Umm got very tanky in the end. just used the palm

Doctor - this one was pretty OP too. Only had to do 1 attempt. by wave 20 i was using 4 scissors and 2 hand saws.

Got around 9 or 10 characters left

managed to beat demon with this set-up. it took a while for both bosses to die compared to other weapons ive tried but at least i was pretty tanky so didn't feel threatened by them.
started with 6 scepters at first

also the obliterator seems powerful

You get a free item on every new game that gives you 10% speed, 50% chance to attract material, and gives you landmines.

Santa is a pain in the ass to kill sometimes.

I wish the pc version got that kind of support

Demon is so much fun he's like a gambling character.

I think I've had a lot of fun with him even though most of my runs are dying before round 8 because I spend all my health on items.

Also Spears are so good

Lol yeah it is pretty much gambling for sure. I tried again two more times and died in early waves. 1 shotted because I had very low hp.

started demon yesterday. attempted 3 times so far. furthest i got was wave 20. died to the bosses :(. i had 0 armour and 0 dodge but was hoping having around 200 hp + like 11% lifesteal was enough lol. if i had those stats up i probably could have survived maybe.
using chopper as main weapon.

At some point the game just starts doubling everything every wave. Tier 1 items cost like 700-900 and tier 4 items cost 3000 to 4000. Enemies have ridiculous life and hit for hundreds of damage at a time.

also used fighting sticks with mutant. i saw its damage was affected by the character's level so seemed good for this character

i completed 20 waves w/ Crazy earlier this morning. actually died a lot tbh lol.

i ended up just using knives. the shurikens were awesome but i wanted more damage! also i keep underestimating the effectiveness of range. a few of the times i died i had like negative range (from buying items with negative bonuses) and couldnt hit the elites because they were protected/surrounded by mooks!

I dont remember exactly what but I know it had something major nerfed like the damage. The thing was THE gun/weapon to get but now theyve added in other great weapons for every category. I could find the exact nerf in the patchnotes around when Cyborg came out. I guess they didnt want someone that started with a gun thatttt good. As it is now, it should be an upgrade from smg. Damage wise I think smg and minigun are the exact damage but MG comes with a free penetration and fires a lot faster.

Ahh i see that makes sense. The smg does suck without penetration upgrades imo.

I've been trying to beat the game with Crazy potato. Got close my 1st time. Up to wave 17. I remember killing the elites fast with 2 knives (both blue) + 4 shurikens (2 reds, 1 purple, 1 blue). Had upgraded melee to like 50 and got 50% damage modifier by that point. Attack speed was at like 90% too.

At wave 17 I got too cocky and started running into enemy crowds. Well one of the larger monsters killed me in like 1 to 2 seconds cuz I ran into it. Was so bummed out by that lol. The two runs after that I was too weak and died to elites

how powerful was the old mini gun? i noticed in a previous run (don't remember the character) that my sub machine guns were more powerful than a mini gun at the same tier (this was after some stat upgrades). was confused by that lol

yesterday i did a mage d5 run. used 3 tasers and 3 lightning knives. felt extremely powerful against normal enemies. bosses took a bit longer to kill but manageable. took me like 2-3 tries i think.

started a chunky run afterward on the same day. altho I didn't beat it till now!! i kept dying. idk how many tries it took i lost count.
tried 4 choppers + 2 scepters. 6 scepters. 2 scepters + 4 ghost axes. then 6 choppers. then all rocks. eventually settled on sticks again! if i didn't beat it with sticks id probably have tried it with pruners next.

also i bought the harvesting crown item on wave 10. it did not give me +8 harvesting per wave after that. it was broken this run not sure if it'll occur again in another run.

did cyborg with planks. did a run with wrenches previously but died at wave 20. the bosses were just tanking everything lol.

with planks i was doing good damage. like 200+ and 400 crits once the range damage transferred over to engineering

Sticks are nice. This is my first time with all of the highest tier weapons .

I think the previously bought baits do affect the amount of them showing up during mid wave for the fisherman. Since in my spear run I had around 60 baits by this wave and i don't recall this many leeches that time.

I was trying to manually dodge them earlier too . Seemed like an impossible task to me. Im so glad they can't really aim at the corners. Probably just need high atk speed and extra range or maybe just enough damage to one shot them to totally avoid them. Haven't tried it with lower stats yet since I just discovered this the previous wave in an act of desperation.

i finally beat fisherman =]. i nearly died in wave 20 because i picked up like 8 baits just for fun and couldnt handle it too well. but luckily i survived

also ffs at a certain point with high enough stats all i had to do to survive was stand in a corner. the chances of the leech energy balls hitting me were very slim. i probably could have survived in a few other runs if i had done that earlier. Didnt discover this till this run

i keep dying with fisherman. i got up to wave 19 one time w/ spears

rn im only getting up to around wave 10 w/ sticks. idk if i should just go lower baits. been picking up 4-6 per wave.

do the baits only affect the beginning of the wave or the entire thing? because i can survive the beginning with 6 baits (on pc version you just move to a corner and move towards the charging leeches and you'll probably survive) but the excess amount of leeches afterwards is just a pain to avoid lol

I'm gladiator is one of my least favorites. Since when I play I like to specialize in one or two weapons.

Loved when they introduced glutton, garden in the hedge clippers. Such a neat interaction especially with farmer as well.

Yeah I prefer specializing with weapons as well. Managed to beat gladiator with ghost axe, ghost spear, electrical knife thing, hand saw, regular spear, and flame fists. Became OP towards the end with all the weapons hitting in the 100s to 240s.

Glutton was fun for sure I liked seeing the explosion % go up.

I'm now playing fisherman and damn I think this might take me longer than brawler. I get up to around wave 10 atm. Picking up 2 to 4 baits per turn. Love seeing the damage % go up lol. Using spears atm. Barely surviving the initial onslaught of those leech things and then dying once more show up randomly.

I didn't know android version was tougher wow. I don't think ill ever play it.

You can still nominate it on Steam! I actually took part in a discussion where I was surprised a bunch of entitled sounding people were crying about no update and they dont deserve a nomination. I mean the game is $5 bucks and has tons of replayability. It essentially had two early access periods with updates since the demo kept getting updated as if it was EA.

i think im too late to nominate. i found the page for it but it states november 28th at the top. and i wasn't able to interact with the 11 options (just a black box).

also yeah i noticed people complaining about the game on the steam discussions lol. well for 5 bucks i don't see the problem w/ low updates tbh.

anyway i beat glutton and sick today at d5. attempting gladiator now. have died a few times so far.

did apprentice in 1 go . used similar set-up as when i did ghost. it's nice not having to place stats in melee damage! this character is OP IMO.

red axes were doing 259 non-crit damage per hit by the end so the bosses and elites died pretty quick. picked up the giant belt that adds bonus crit damage.

I focused on a strategy of just building survivability and not trying to get elite killing damage. Most waves were pretty low stress as I always had a decent chunk of health.

I need to try out that character sometime.

Last night I finally completed multitasker after my brawler run and did it in 1 go. It was a relief playing a super OP character like damn. Difference is night n day.

Okay I just played through four runs of brawler and I swear I could beat it on D5. Each run I progressively got closer. But nowhere near as easy as it used to be before he revamped the difficulties. I'm just kind of glad that he did make it harder because it used to be too easy.

I might take a break for a while since I already have 260 hours and according to his latest update he's got some DLCs on the way as well as free content.

I think I'll reset my save file when we get a new DLC

I wonder how long the game will be supported. This is my most played newish game this year so far. Might as well be my goty .

But that being said I don't remember brawler being that hard so I'm going to try a run right now.

i felt like i got pretty lucky this run.
also noticed that brawler does have higher % completion in the achievements than other characters like cryptid (altho cryptid does have to be unlocked in a particular way).

idk i guess brawler doesnt fit my play style that much but managed to get lucky this time with some items that really helped

i died around wave 14-18 so many times because of the junkies. didnt realize they kept spawning from a particular mob. thought they were just popping up from nowhere lol. but once i figured that out they became less of a nuisance.

Can you even get enough sticks for the full run tho? Especially when you need dupes to upgrade.

i got enough. it seems like once i pick up a stick they start showing up in shop more often.

three runs ago i got like two purple sticks and the rest blue. was hitting around 100 damage with the blues and crits were hitting 200s after some stat upgrades. enough to kill the elites. but im still dying bro!!!!! it's mainly these guys fault:

now im trying brawler again and i just keep dying :(.. worst character ever. i prob could have won my last run if i was better at dodging those red projectiles tho. the normal mobs werent really a threat by that point. so i just have to pay attention more

yeah i ended up doing that in my run. wasn't able to kill the bosses tho but turrets + life steal let me survive pretty easy. felt invincible

also did a d5 cryptid run just now. wow i died like 10 times before this run. eventually picked up the stand-still dodge item which let me go over 70% dodge when still and the item that heals you +5 hp when dodging.

i was able to stand around the entire time from waves 14-19 lol. and in the final wave i was able to stand still 95% of the time. only had to run around in the beginning when my health dropped to like 20. this was before all the trees spawned so my hp regen wasn't too high. once they were all spawned i was invincible lmfao. killed both bosses pretty quick wanna say quicker than the other characters by a huge margin. also had the wise perk so my damage increased over time.

there was one wave where a whole bunch of enemies kept stacking those red beams blades things on top of my character and its health still wouldnt drop below 50%.

ok i unlocked cryptid but im gonna try d5ing explorer today.

crazy how slow 25% speed feels w/ a larger map and faster enemies. normally that amount of speed already feels pretty fast to me. well i guess ill pump up the speed some more

Yeah that's odd I've never had the game crash on me.

Been doing quite a few D5 runs but I've ended in failure. Had some really good ones though.

It hasn't crashed so far after lowering my refresh rate.

I did a jack d5 run yesterday. Managed to beat it. I used 4 laser guns and 2 submachine guns.

I couldnt beat brawler yesterday. Way too tough imo. I'll try again today tho.
