But so is $7 for 3 heads of Romain lettuce, $20 for 700g of cheese.

Arguing nickels is dumb it feels.

I mean we're at a point that dollar might as well be the lowest amount.

Selling for 1.50? Why not double the package, change $3, and save the planet by cutting your packing nearly in half. The shrinkflation is the opposite we should be doing. Right now they are just filling the packaging half way to trick you into thinking it's the same amount.

Big retail is starting to train its shoppers that if it ends in 97 cents its a really good deal and you should buy it. So if you really want to sell something use that instead.
The Sears strategy where the cents denotes which sale it is. I really hated that. I left a lot of stuff in my cart when they did that. Put say 5 different shirts on a rack, a sign saying 40% off. But you find out at the cash register only items ending in 87 cents is on sale.

No I'm just saying their own polls prove more than half the people here play on PC. Yet almost no polls allow answers from PC gamers or are written in a way that a PC gamer can respond easily.
I never said exclusively PC.
And any opinion poll about games will always say console, and probably Nintendo.
Gamefaqs has an extreme console bias. It's easy to believe that it's from the big 3 paying gamefaqs.

If I were admin I would have this automated.

I think it's just whatever corporate sponsor wants to know, and if they have nothing, you get a weird question.

I always find it funny any poll asking what your platform is, PC wins, but then any gaming poll posted is entirely console focused. Almost like console manufacturers have some sort of investment in gamefaqs.

We had an entire week of what old console do you have.
Now it's do you like digital. Umm.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/poll/9238-got-a-gaming-quality-pc
89% of gamefaqs users play on PC. So most of their polls ignore 89% of users? What?

You can get surround sound from vinyl, unless you're specifically talking about music that's been deliberately recorded to be a surround experience, which is a pretty small subset. By its nature, surround sound is also not the most practical, being quite expensive for a decent setup and extremely limiting in where you have to listen to it.
Everyone's headphones have surround sound now. So I'd be shocked if we stay with stereo forever. Or a record players weird half stereo trick.

So far the waiver when not at fault is the best we've got.

It's a sound quality thing, mostly. In particular, most music recorded prior to the late 80's was recorded with the expectation that it would be played back on vinyl, so listening to it on vinyl is the "right" way to do it if you want the intended experience. Practicality considerations mean that only listening to music on vinyl doesn't make a lot of sense, but I can definitely see the appeal.

Now, cassettes? Those are marginally more convenient than vinyl, but that's the end of their value. CD's rendered them totally obsolete by being more convenient and having better sound quality, and that's only become more true as digital distribution has mostly replaced CD's.
I think surround sound music has made them all obsolete.

Algebra in my day was taught so stupidly. Letters, missing symbols, and moving parts around. It never made sense to me and still doesn't.
Also I do it 100s of times a day in programming. Nearly every single line you write in code is ultimately c = a + b. But the way it's represented and explained in algebra is beyond useless.

So I have to go with schools should customize their math teaching by student. And they won't obviously which means school is fundamentally flawed and will always result in below half students understanding math.

I have to use a Mac for xcode. I really hate working on this thing.
Why is everything combined always in the app bar? Why do I have to every fucking time click play in Android studio, then right click the studio icon and choose the emulator window? Why can't it just be there always? Why does it not have one for my second screen? Why can it not expand properly when the dock is open on that screen? Why does closing a window, like brave, mean lose your entire session, but app ->quit does not? Why does it take hours, fucking hours to do updates? And then more hours to update xcode? Why in 2023 does mac not have clipboard history?
On and on, how do people work on these pieces of junk? Mac is so garbage you can't even change the speed of your mouse. It's not an option. All you can change is the acceleration. It's incorrectly labeled as speed but it's acceleration. You can't change the speed of scrolling either so you flick your scroll wheel to go one line and it shoots to the bottom of the page because you scrolled one click too fast.

However I can't complain about printers and Mac. Windows has that shit show for the last 30 years.
To the point that all my windows desktops still can't figure out my printer. My Mac, click add printer, it finds it wirelessly and works. Android? Same, finds it wirelessly and works. My nix laptop? Wirelessly and works. Only windows can't figure out printers.

I'm already down $190 just for them to tell me what's wrong (even though I can convey this very easily) and that isn't even under my used warranty (I didn't buy the car from them).

But knowing what dealerships charge I wouldn't be surprised if this repair hit the mid-$1000s so at least having that covered will be a relief.
Let us know if they try to weasel out of the warranty, historically buying the warranty was a bad idea because the cars were reasonably reliable and when something went wrong the dealership would find some excuse to not do the warranty anyways. But with today's cars maybe that has changed.

Mine's a hybrid Fusion. In addition to saying the steering is shot the car said lane assist was busted and "AdvanceTrac" needs servicing but I assume these are all tied into the same supersystem that manages the steering.

I was told the power steering is a sealed system in such a car, which means it's not directly user-serviceable. All feels like just making it so only Ford can maintain your vehicle at unreasonable markup...
I wonder why we didn't transition to electric steering?

But your right, right to repair isn't fully a thing yet so yes the manufacturers are purposely making it harder to maintain. Just imagine what you do when this is off warranty. Or maybe you move away from a Ford dealership and need someone else to work on it.
