I wound up watching some random show The Worlds Strongest with Brian Shaw and 3 other worlds strongest men competitors. They would have their I think they said 510 150 pound camera man do their challenges (when safe). He threw a 13 pound hammer like 40 feet. I was thinking hey, thats not bad. A high school shot putt is 12 pounds and 40 feet on that is respectable (in hs).

then the strong men came out and winner was over 100 feet. Like 112 or something.

having a reference point is awesome.

I genuinely think it would be great for all sports if at every Olympic event a statistically mediocre person did the same event just to show how good the athletes are.

Id be down for that. Make sure the average Joe never played competitively above the high school level in any sport, and ideally they never played that sport.

Gimme couch potatoes doing a 45 pound clean and jerk so we can see how jaw dropping 350 pounds really is.

Amazon and eBay have a bunch of wood puzzle lock boxes under $50 a piece. Id buy a number of them to use and as reference. Might be able to just scale it up and do it cheap.

I want to see a bunch of 400 pounders sprinting. Like gigantic strong men vs ham beasts doing the 100 meter.

and I want 7+ people diving and doing gymnastics. I bet that looks unique.

And gymnast type girls doing sumo.

That's a great idea, I don't really know how to put that into practice though.bdeginiteky gonna look into that though.

Edit: Don't know how to make, I should say.

google wood puzzle lock. Lots of people put stuff like this into furniture (not the exact one I described, but lots of wood based locking mechanisms of different types).

if you arent good at wood working you might want to hire it out. I bet for $1k-2k you could get something done locally and really cool.

make an original locking device for the final puzzle. You know those wooden puzzles with a square / rectangle inside a frame only 1 way? Id make one of those. When assembled, it pushes out the latches allowing the safe to open.

the puzzle pieces are hidden behind other puzzles, so you collect the puzzle pieces to solve a unique puzzle for the final prize.

that feels master thief to me.

Currently the theme is that a thief has been going around town and stealing historical and valuable objects. You've stumbled into his lair, and he's out thriving more stuff but will return in an hour. We're going to decorate with stuff from around town, like there's a vineyard next door, so wine bottles and such. The town was apparently once known for its sewing factory and cabbage fields, and also Dr Pepper was created here(practically on the spot where the room is) so we'll have stuff referencing those.
Otherwise, idk, fill it with a bunch of random items?

get a Carmen San Diego poster and some knock off Fabrege (sp) eggs or Crown Jewels.

If you like your car, dont let Best Buy employees touch it. Go to an independent car audio shop. It will cost you $100-300 more but the end result youve got a chance of it looking factory.

Ive been given a verbal warning last 3 times I was pulled over.

one was for my rear lights (not the brake lights but rear lights that light up when headlights are on) were burnt out and my registration sticker was out of date. I gave him current registration and just got a warning.

other two times were speeding. 11 over and 15 over.

last ticket was 6 or 7 years ago for being on phone while driving. It was stop and go traffic on freeway and I was texting my GF I was going to be late for dinner. I hadnt moved in like 2 minutes when I got lit up.

This isn't to make jaywalking more common, nor would it likely have such an effect. This is to stop bad cops from using it to harass innocent people.

Good intents often have unintended consequences.

US has over 7500 annual pedestrian deaths already. If pedestrians are allowed to cross at places other than crosswalks, I cant imagine a world without increased incidents.

The average person is really stupid and a car hitting a pedestrian at 30 mph can easily be fatal.

unless we are looking to kill off stupid people, bad idea.
