I was having trouble nailing down a design, mostly hair, for something next chapter (if I draw it), but I might go with something like this. I wanted something that had a cool feeling, without being obnoxious (to look at or draw) and this seems to do decent.

And none of them barely broken even either. Suicide Squad made $750 on a $150 budget. When you actually look at all of them, the only thing that can be considered anywhere close to breaking even is Justice League.

I never said BEFORE the MCU. My point was that the Avengers/later MCU movies did so well BECAUSE they got people invested in Cap and IM THROUGH the movies.

I feel like you were in such a rush to post that you just didn't take the time to comprehend what I was getting at... At all.

Captain Marvel, for example, got one movie of actual character development, and then was immediately pushed into the Avengers movies. And they were movies literally at the end of a storyline, already. She hasn't been nearly as established as others were, and yet now she's mainly appearing in team-up movies.

EDIT: Yes, Ant-Man did relatively "poorly," but Ant-Man movies never made HUGE bank. Meanwhile, Guardians did well. Dr. Strange did well. My point was, currently, they're pushing characters at people too fast. Captain Marvel shouldn't be in purely team-up movies, at this point. Not yet.

If you compare how long DCEU lasted on pure failures, to how long MCU may last based on its hits, MCU has like, a good 10 years in the bank, yet.

In my opinion, Marvel needs to take a step back and basically reinvent/reassert their heroes. The MCU formula did so well because people were so attached to Captain America, and Iron Man, and so on. GotG3 did so well because they were established characters, but the movies that aren't doing as well typically feature new, or less established, characters. Granted, Ant-Man is established, but the Ant-Man movies also never particularly did well (for some reason or another, I always greatly enjoyed them.)

Nope, 1st degree is the only kind of murder that requires premeditation and intent to kill (premeditation can be as short as 1 minute such as someone taking the time to walk back to their car to grab a weapon so that they can kill someone). 2nd degree murder and voluntary manslaughter does not require premeditation nor does it require any intent to actually kill the victim. All they require is an intent to cause unlawful harm and the victim dying as a direct result.

The main differences between 2nd degree and voluntary manslaughter are whether the defendant was provoked into violent action by the victim and whether there was an opportunity for the defendant to calm himself after the provocation before killing the victim. If the provocation is considered inadequate by the courts (fighting words alone generally don't count as an adequate provocation; only infidelity discovered in the act, mutual combat, and extreme assault/battery by the victim have generally been universally upheld as mitigating factors against a murder charge) or if there was sufficient opportunity for the defendant to calm down between the provocation and the homicide, it automatically remains as a murder 2 charge.

I wouldn't put too much stock into that observation.

One of them assaulted him, he fell over, hit his head, and died. It fucked up, but it definitely was not an intentional killing, hence the manslaughter charge and no hate crime.

tl;dr: The MCU spent over a decade from their first movie up to a movie called Endgame following a cohesive journey revolving around a core group of heroes, a key villain, and their stories. Those stories concluded in Endgame. This "saga" as it's called is generally viewed with extreme favor, to the point where two of the movies (Infinity War and Endgame) are like top 10 all time box office movies. Everyone knows Thanos, the dusting, Iron Man... even if you can't name them, you've seen them.

Endgame in 2019 effectively concluded that saga, closing a number of chapters on a number of likeable and memorable characters.

Fast forward to late 2023. This trailer opens with clips and dialogue of characters from that Endgame period to try and recapture some of the joy that has since been lost in recent MCU features. This comes across as extremely desperate.

tl;dr tl;dr: New trailer is trying to bank on a popular movie from four years ago to try and attract viewership when there really is zero reason to reference it at this point.
