do you think the police intended to shoot her? They knocked on the door to serve a warrant and her boyfriend opened fire. If she wasn't part of her boyfriend's operation it certainly sucks for her but I'm not naive enough to think she wasn't at least aware of it. Honestly if someone is looking lose weight, and get in shape the fastest, it's lifting on a caloric deficient/high protien diet. It's really the only time a person can actually gain muscle mass while losing weight(for newbie overweight people who have never lifted in thier life). You won't see the results on the scale right away, but bigger muscles means they need more calories to be used/grow which can also lead to a better metabolic rate. I'll reiterate though your baseline metabolic rate isn't something you necessarily be concerned with, but it is an added benefit of gaining muscle mass.

it helps better than cardio IMO. muscle is always burning calories even if you're doing nothing but sitting on the couch. cardio only burns calories when you're doing cardio. best to do both weights and cardio with the emphasis being on weights unless you're planning to run a marathon or something like that.

For weight loss it definitely comes down to calories in and calories out. That caloric number is going to vary from person to person depending on their genetics and activity level. Now, for some people, too few calories can make your body think it is in starvation mode and then you might be more predisposed to storing it as fat. That last part is pretty typical but not exclusive to the "skinny fat" body type.

I work 6pm to 6am overnights. So it's my midday really.

what an interesting/different life that must be. what do you do for work?

I put my phone on silent around 7pm and I am asleep somewhere between 8pm and 9pm most nights so, yes, midnight is late to me.

New Years Eve is about the only time I'm awake at midnight these days. If it occurs on a week day it is only because I can't sleep with all the fireworks going off around me.

Saw Fear a couple years ago. Not the best movie in the world but it was cool revisiting the 90s with that one.

My favorite modern movie would likely be Pain and Gain. I understand why people didnt go for it but the humor really worked on me. The Rock played a hilarious drug addict.

interesting. the only options I ever see in stores here are prime and choice. While there is usually a noticeable difference between the two I have had quite a few choice steaks with excellent marbling and tenderness every bit as good as the prime we normally get.
