What has he done to deserve such vitriol? It's not like he pulled a Wendee Lee or something to that effect.

He got cast as Kiryu from Yakuza, & is salty that everyone criticizes his performance.Specifically, he's accused of getting the role because of his YouTuber status, which given the pipeline of YouTube to voice acting, is pretty obvious. Dude can accept that his accomplishments aren't fully talent based, & is throwing a tantrum by blocking anyone on Twitter & any other social media, that calls him out. Doesn't help he's really trying to flaunt the position.

Really, feels like the most petty of all internet dramas that immediately comes to mind. Yeah he's not the best choice, but he's far from terrible. I'd say the worst part is that he can't accept the criticism, work to grow into the role, & accept that he got the role partially based on his YouTube clout.

Humans are tribal by nature. Whether it be which side of the political aisle you're on, your favorite sports team, chosen religion, or even game console preference, you're expected to pick a side, & in the game of tribalism, it generally helps a lot to have more people on your side. "Neutrals" represent a very annoying factor of an unknown variable: someone who isn't on your side, but could also become part of the side you're against.

Between Adblock Plus, Ghosterly, & NoScript, this is my first time seeing it... in Firefox. My Google Chrome install which also has ABP & Ghosterly is currently having no problems. Youtube's adblocker detection techniques definitely aren't too advanced.

If you're comparing third party games, it's more than likely because the developers don't actually care that much about making the Switch version any better by accounting for the disparity compared to PS & Xbox system specs. Looking at relative equivalents to Nintendo's 1st party, & it's not as big.

He was a HARD carry for the company. They may as well begin filing for bankruptcy.

Because one is a man expressing his ideals of the female body, while the other is a woman's expression. Truth is that it almost completely comes down to WHO's doing it. For example: Bayonetta was a lot more controversial, before it was revealed she was designed by a woman; she was a much more contentious character when it was thought a man made her.

Yeah, but good luck actually proving it in any court. So long as they can maintain a decent level of plausible deniability, employers can hire or fire anyone for any reason. Really, most hiring happens on a similar scale; call it nepotism, cronyism, or "networking", meritocracy is mostly an illusion.

Contract employees are kept for when they're needed, & let go as soon as they're not. They're also often teased with a stick & carrot bait of potentially becoming a permanent employee. It's a standard corporate practice.

Blackwings & Raidraptors would abuse this to no end. This card is basically just free extra deck materials. Ok, that's so stupid, I'd be more willing to buy it as some half-assed fanart. The hoodie & Air Forces feel kinda patronizing, really trying to emphasize "see how black he is?" angle. Not to mention that while it's hardly ever a consistent detail, but wouldn't having shoes limit his wall sticking/crawling abilities? Then, the exposed hair just seems to pointless. Miles' standard red & black was simple, similar enough for familiarity, & distinct enough to stand out from Peter.

I always just write those off as an extension of the "audience translation convention" that allows us to understand characters, even when they should have entirely separate languages. Although I do appreciate when a series makes it clear that a separate world does have its own culture, such as with Pokemon's in-game writing system or Klonoa's voice clips.

Criticizing the right is so common, no one really thinks about it. The left just considers anyone criticizing them to automatically be the right.

Thought you meant what colors are in it, which I remember mostly from the Chrome logo. I've seen so many themed Google logos, I barely remember when I seriously looked at the default one.

Developers big & small, have been trying to topple/clone Nintendo's flagship IPs for years. Sonic is by far the most successful attempt, to date. For Smash specifically, the IP breadth alone, makes the barrier to entry extremely high; Warner Bros, Sony, & Nickelodeon have all tried, & none have succeeded. I suppose Disney has never attempted a Smash clone, but can you seriously see Disney allowing Aladdin to smash Mickey's face in, in a semi serious tone?

If it's not going to be the switch, then the switch 2 would be the time to release GameCube games.

If Nintendo wants to offset by a couple generations, that's fine, but they'll have to do it eventually. There's no way they can vault this game until the end of time.

The Wii U had Wii & DS games. I've always suspected the GC had something to do with no other Nintendo system having analog triggers, even though Luigi's Mansion & Super Mario Sunshine are probably the only games where they truly matter (& have versions without it anyway), but whatever the reason, it's definitely more than "offset", especially when the GC is currently 3 generations from the Switch.

Need to disclose expenses, cap on prizes, & no sponsors means Nintendo tournaments aren't a road to big money. No money means less players interested & less funding to support those who do show up.

Nintendo must be terrified of how they'll lose control of smash the moment they remaster melee or release it on the virtual console.

Neither of which is likely to ever happen. Like every Mario Kart that isn't Double Dash, there's little practical reason for Nintendo to remaster a specific Smash game, & Nintendo has never directly put any Gamecube game on their digital services, so far; the Wii U eShop had Wii games, but still no GC.

Eh, most of this seems reasonable. Not being able to use relevant characters to promote a tournament is definitely a bit much, but let's be honest, the most contemptuous terms are definitely the ones that basically disallow mods & roms, & forbid this from ever becoming a "for profit" venue.

A company that has effectively made billions on the aspect of projecting the image of capability, over actual performance. In other words, "fake it 'till you make it" to possibly the most extreme instance.

Really, Nintendo has simply zero investment in the notion of consistency for the Mario-verse. It's why characters such as "Toad" & Toadsworth just vanish once they're no longer relevant or manage to gain any significant popularity. Until Wonder, Daisy was only relevant as a roster filler in Mario spinoffs, such as Kart, Party, & various sports. Then you have Birdo, who got new relevance as a partner for Yoshi in games like Mario Tennis & MK Double Dash. Toadette may become a long-timer, but I totally see Captain Toad eventually falling off.

That should be some BS from The Onion, or a late night bit, but it's not.

Even if it does release, it's pretty much going to suffer Duke Nukem syndrome, in the fact that it's been so long, it'll never be able to fully live up to hype. At this point, a perpetual "early access" where they just keep taking feedback & expanding it, might be the more practical solution.

I thought as much. I noticed that some of the suggestions are also based me having a bunch of games under the "female protagonist" tag, such as Momodora, Phantom Brave, CrossCode, & Shantae.

In the last couple of months or so, I've been getting a lot of them pop up on my feeds for new & recommended games. Even going by my library, the only truly "pervy" game I own is HuniePop, which I have mostly as a curiosity for the meme; even then, it's never had a big impact on my recommended titles.

If it was 10-15 years ago, not at all. Now? It's going to be a statement, whether the developer wants it to or not; so many Nazi sympathizers are feeling more comfortable speaking open & freely.

Really, I'd suggest just committing to NoScript, at this point. Sure it makes the internet in general less convenient, until you figure out which parts of every site to allow, but I haven't seen most of these warnings, despite also having an adblocker

Honestly, the whole reference system is completely dumb, the way it currently functions. "Hey, give me a list of people you know, to evaluate you as a person"; there's literally no reason to not stack the deck in your favor there.

Being long term admin for a (once) major internet site SHOULD have put him over the 6 figure line, though realistically, he was probably only around $60K-$85K.
