Started watching it, thanks for the heads up. I was just looking to see if there was a topic about this.

Mild spoiler there is a musical episode, Brendan Fraser singing is something I never wanted lol.

i loved that part i was feel this second half was slow and meh but then episode 9 happened and loved all the music genre they did in it poor vic getting interrupted by the gang
but man i fear the character arcs might feel rushed due to this being the final season but even so i hope they get closure from this season and oh fuck zelav for canning dead boy detective that still stings i was looking forward to it damn it

episode 7-8 was released last week and we got the 9th drop this week and i loved the 9th this season has been a slow burn but i am enjoying the characters arcs so far
and immortus isn't as good as mr nobody but i loved what they did in this week 9th episode if some of you have been keeping up with this series then heads up guys it's back

it was the adaption made battler into a moron who screams all the time and they went nuts in fan service where they made most of the womans boobs into freaking balloons

when the seagulls cry aka umineko naku no koro ni made by the same writer as higurashi i would advice not to watch the anime adaption cuz it's horrible plus unfinished as well the novel it's better since the first part starts as a good old murder mystery and it pays heavy nods to classic detective series since the first episode is based on ''and then there were none''

wait now i see they did put him in not solving the kira case then that is correct and lastly why didn't they put up sherlock's older brother the guy is way better then sherlock as said by himself in the novel

why is battler on that list the guy is noted not to fare well in real supernatural mystery heck even R07 himself showed us how would he fare in such a setting in one of his spoof
for those who are wondering he is the red haired dude with giant hands in tha pic the series is about a murder mystery vs fantasy supernatural where the protag battler debates and rebuffs a witch beatrice and her claim she killed her victims with magic and he denies it and tires to prove the killer isn't a witch but a normal human

It's been a long time, so I don't remember it too well, but I want to say the first half or so was like that, and then the second half became more story-focused. But yeah, if you've already read the VN then I'd just ignore it. Like I said earlier in the thread, I haven't experienced the VN myself, but anyone I know who has either loved the VN but didn't like the anime, or liked the anime but still rated the VN way higher.

the reason the second half aka season 2 improved was cuz the writer himself had to step in to fix the issues season 1 adaption left that is why you felt it improved higurashi strong points is more in characters story instead of horror as it deals with their past and pains and trauma season 1 screwed over most of the characters storylines best moments but thankfully Ryu07 helmed season 2

i didn't know about her and yeah we need more of these movies/shows telling their stories so more people know about it and reading about her story is great
