There is one called something like "I got a new skill every time i was exiled and after 100 different worlds I was unmatched," Where guy gets Isekai'd, but every time he dies he goes back to a "hub world" and picks a different door trying to find his way home but just ends up in a diff fantasy world, but he keeps a skill from the previous world every time. The story starts at the point where he has cleared 100 worlds and is finally granted the choice to go where he wants, but instead of going home he opps to go to the first world he got Isekai'd to because he actually enjoyed it there, and of course finds out it needs saving again.

So the story really only takes place in one, but the premise before the story started is what you wanted.

If memory serves "The hero is overly cautious" also has that when he "saves" one world he just gets sent to the next one instead of going home and has to keep saving worlds, but the author does a bunch of series and doesn't really do that one anymore I think.

Man, looks like the paperback version of the complete farside is similarly on sale (though not the hardcover on that one for some reason). Those have both been on my list for a while.

I propose a new rule: Every day, at least one Speaker vote is mandatory. Each day no new Speaker is elected, anyone that didn't vote for the candidate that won the most votes loses their pay.

And yes, I tailored the conditions to single out the Republicans while still keeping the text of the rule generic enough for plausible deniability.

Do people really not understand that a rule like this would change nothing? Very few of the reps are living paycheck to paycheck or even care that much about the ~170k salary, and any that did become financially troubled by this would immediately find themselves with dozens of lobbyists offering to help them out. Compensation and Lobbying need to be reworked from the ground up (and should be) before anything like this would remotely effect anything.

I was asking about that earlier (if we would just move from getting stuck on a speaker vote loop to stuck on a vacate vote loop), and someone said they thought the rule allowing 1 person to call for vacate required the 1 person to be from the same party as the speaker. Haven't had a chance to verify that yet.

Right, but I am asking could they start spamming vacate votes BEFORE anyone calls for a rules package vote, or do they automatically have a new rules package vote when a new speaker is elected or something? Like would we just get non stop vacate votes that keep failing like McCarthy/Jim votes and just wind up equally paralyzed but on a different vote.

Random question I was thinking about... If by a literal miracle, enough Repubs don't show up or defect and Jeffries did win, could he actually do anything to change the rule that says it only takes a single member to call a vacate vote, or could they start spamming vacate vote calls before he could get the rule removed?

Honestly, its probably equal parts that it would end their career, and equal parts that a crazy person might just murder them in the street. Like there might be a couple people willing to end their career early to keep the country functioning, but the base is so crazy there are more repercussions than just a career end.

I played it solo and enjoyed it. I would wait to pick it up until it is on sale though (it gets pretty cheap if memory serves).

I won't say its the best ever, but I always liked this album from Algar. Really like "destroying the world", but almost everything on it is good.

Definitely City of Heroes/Villains. Played a good chunk on the revival servers as well.

They have been advertising the regular fear fest, and I have definitely seen more than just birds on when flipping by. I know they did the regular Steven King marathon last weekend, and I have seen commercials with clips from the Thing and Fright Night (bunch of other stuff to, those were just the only two I actually cared about).

New Creepshow season on Fridays as well.

My mom loves Monk. It always bothered me a little bit that like 95% of the "humor" in the show is just comes off as "Monk has OCD." I know it is a little older show, but I was always surprised there weren't advocacy groups mad about it.

Whatever happened with the "Data" Lindell had that he said if anyone could show it WASN'T proof of the election being rigged he would pay them $5 Million, and then some guy proved it was gibberish, went before an arbitration board (The contest said any disputes would be settled with binding arbitration), had the board say Lindell had to pay out, and then Lindell tried to take it to court. I haven't heard about that one in a while. I was kind of hoping he would present the same garbage lol.
