In a lot of ways 401 is better than 802 for Living Corpses as well

Definitely an underrated gem by the guide. Axing 7 of the damn Berserker runs while I get my last 40 Living Corpses will make up for the 3 extra runs

I played Utawarerumono 1 back in the day, and it was quite good.

BtB actually wasn't that bad, but it was definitely nowhere near as good as Gate.

oh my god my friend got a SNES Classic recently and we decided to try this game out for a couple hours since I think it's the only one that neither of us played before. It's one of the worst games I ever played. There might just be something we weren't getting, but everything about it seemed incredibly clunky and poorly designed. There are a few Kirby games I like quite a bit, but this is most definitely not one of them.

I don't really like challenges so I never got very far with SotC. But from what I played I was thoroughly impressed by its graphics and art direction. Looked really gorgeous for a PS2 game (I played it only in 2016 or so).

Making an anime episode takes a long time though. The reason I was thinking this way is that the last few episodes of the anime had to be made based on drafts of the later chapters.

Kakegurui is good. 8/10 show. Not as good as Kaiji, but still quite good.

Ah, that's fair. I don't remember the post-timeskip stuff as well (since I read it once but read and watched the earlier stuff), but I do remember some parts not being quite as great. Still lots of excellent stuff for me though.

Anime actually has spoiled manga endings before sometimes. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is the biggest example I can think of, though it's not the only one.

Characters losing their magic in the first place was one of the dumber things about Strike Witches IMO. I hate this in basically any medium.

If you're interested in a more serious all-girls action series, there's always Claymore to check out.

Favorite FF song is Ultima and I was sad it got snubbed from Curtain Call. I did have fun with the game though. I can see myself returning to it every now and then.

Favorite puzzle game is Portal 2 and it's not even close.

@tazzyboyishere it's DLC for Curtain Call. That's actually how I first heard it! I think it was one of the two DLCs I bought (the other was Nier, IIRC).

Kiznaiver is almost great, but it has a few issues holding it back. I dunno if I could recommend it since a lot of people don't like it. I gave it an 8 though.

Inou Battle was worse, IMO. It had a fun thing going with a nice slice of life-y club atmosphere for half the show, then it decided to go hard serious for a few episodes and introduced a bunch of new plotlines, then it went back to antics and ended without addressing any of the plots it introduced. The anime apparently skipped around in the novels quite a bit, so I dunno why they didn't either go more serious or just cut the plot stuff out. The show just feels so incomplete as it is.

For Nadia, there's a section of 13 episodes or so that're basically filler, in the most literal sense. The show was a big hit, so partway through production the TV channel ordered an extra bunch of episodes, which were outsourced to another team. They're pretty nothing.

IIRC the last few episodes of Eva have director's cut versions that fix a few of the TV version's budget issues.

It took awhile because I watched it sporadically, but I finally finished season one of A Certain Magical Index. A few people took issue with me liking Index back when I first started, so I'm happy to report back that she remained fun and awesome throughout! Easily my favorite character from the show.

Also, I'm enjoying the anime a lot overall. Toma's power forces him to approach situations in unique ways, which I think has been consistently neat. The world-building is solid too, I'm excited to start the next season.
