Thanks Mabus. I feel like everyone thinks I am crazy because I want to be social about how I go about things. People told me not to tell the girl I like her because they thought she would be put off and distance herself from me, but we are still friends, and honestly, as I said, I think I am more confident around her.

Still, I hate these feelings because just as my feelings towards her intensified, so have all the negative qualities that I was unaware I was capable of having so much of such as jealously.

I guess I got to face up to my failure. I went up, and knocked on her door, but she was actually in the lobby. She told me a different reason why she didn't want to go, playing the boyfriend card, saying she didn't know if he would be happy with her going out with a bunch of guys.

I could have pressed on deeper because I am almost 95% positive that is a BS reason (yesterday she said it was because she felt she was interrupting a guy's night out), and the real reason is that she did not want to go with us because of the one guy that I mentioned in post 6.

Still, the other 5% of me believes that the reason she brought up her boyfriend was as a direct attack against me, reminding me that she is taken and that I need to back off. Everyone believes that she should break up with the guy because she is so unhappy with him, but there is a reason she calls him boyfriend, and not ex-boyfriend. Once she pulled the boyfriend card, I couldn't just ask her to go to the movies with just me. I went to the movie with my friends like the original plan, but I couldn't full enjoy it as she was on my mind throughout it all.

Part of me doesn't want to give up, but then I think of this one girl who transferred and is friendly with me. The thought passed that maybe she has some weird thing for me, but then I realized that this girl could not do anything to make it where I would have feelings for her (I am not saying she does have feelings for me, but it is a hypothetical). This same scenario obviously applies to me. I could give the girl I like the whole world, but at the end of the day, it is still me giving the gift, and she would have higher praise for the small marble that the guy she does like gives her (whether that be her boyfriend, or some other schmuck) than the whole planet that I would offer as that means more to her. I wish my life was a movie, where I just have to struggle through the pain, but at the end I am rewarded with the girl and a happily ever after, but in reality, all I receive is pain. The truth is, I choose to believe that I can create a convoluted plan to steal her heart like she stole mine because I need this illusion, otherwise, I go to bed with tears and hopelessness. No matter what the signs say, perhaps even tomorrow, I will go back to believing that I need to just keep trying. Maybe I will ask her to watch a movie, and I'll order some pizza for us, and then I will try to see if I can see if she will want to go watch the movie in my room for some dumb reason that I still haven't worked my head around. Idk, the plan will fail obviously. Heck, I probably won't even see her tomorrow just because of the desire to execute such a dumb idea.

Thanks Fam. I don't see why knocking on someone's door is looked down upon nowadays. CE was telling me not to tell the girl that I liked her, and I did, and guess what, I feel more confident than ever now, and she is still my friend. I think this age of social media has made it where people feel they can't be direct, and they can't be in-person anymore.

She was going to watch a movie with myself and another person, but then this one guy that I know she has been trying to avoid was invited and is joining us, so now she doesn't want to come (even if she won't admit that is the reason).

I'll just knock on her door to verify she won't come, and then ask if she wants to watch a movie this weekend with me as I don't really want to go with the two guys anyways.

It's obvious she wants to watch a movie, but I feel we did her dirty by inviting the other guy (I didn't personally invite him, but still).

I will knock on her door, and ask her to watch a movie with me. I hear movies are a bad first date location, but this won't be a date, so it should be fine. I got my strategy all laid out, and I will report back about how it worked.

It is really hard to tell though as a lot can happen in more than 2.5 years. I am sure President Trump will try to manipulate the market in order to make it more favorable during those last few months before the election, as despite what people complain about, the economy is what makes people vote one way or another.
