I knew a day would come that would knock me down to size. These, these decided a great many things for me recently, and yet...and yet they lied. My year was supposed to be positive. My year would be right: my end to my long journey to graduate that hell, and my Kingdom's final days would be spent in happiness and celebration.

So why? Why did these lie? Why did these not warn me that I would lose my job after only a month? Why did these not tell me that three years of my life, learning, searching, and clawing my way to grasp something would tumble down so easily? It was as if the cold, bitter weather that haunted my days lingered onward, possessing me, wrapping me up in numbness and anxiety. I did not heed all the warning signs. I was complacent, and real life slapped me in the face as if I was still a stupid child. Will my five years of UCA also mean nothing in the end?

An Empire wants their lasting glory. But even more than that, a United front stands against the Kingdom as well? Why? Why does my life have to spiral downwards? The glowing memories of my past are giving way to an uncertain future, and I can do nothing but wait for things to come...

...the feeling of wasting days away in uncertainty, eking out a living disgusts me.

I am so afraid, afraid of losing whatever I have left: my title, my fellow King, our Kingdom, and UCA all will go away...fading just as the other world is fading from me too. I care not for these opponents in my way. I will MAKE you leave. I will make sure no bad luck, bad karma, or pathetic fools like you makes me slip on a banana peel and ruins my rotten luck any further. GTM, Dante, Stifled, Shad: I want you gone. I want this...this UCA facade gone. All that's left would be me, hoping not to live and die broken, destitute, and depraved after what I worked so hard for died in front of me within seconds. But I suppose I am fated to begin UCA how I started it: dead inside. Everything's still the same, and it all just fades to black. If those feelings are coming back to haunt me, I want them to haunt you too.

I forget whether it was this situation or the Hardcore match, but I distinctly remember a reply from you saying, "Dude, I've gone to bat for you or let go most of the other crap, but I've had enough of this shit. Sorry real life threats doesn't work with "your" schedule." Though by that point, I had practically given up any idea of good faith, cause the situation was already piss poor and bleeding out of PMs anyway. I figured any PM I sent to or got sent from you was "What did I do now?"

Because even now, I have no concept of other people and their problems. I have an egocentric point of view and RARELY talk to people. It's pretty easy to look back now and see that eocentrism play out in pure form while being a complete idiot.

It was mostly just title matches decided by the rankings, those people do some promos at each other. Everyone else fights to move up the rankings. Teams form and some people create feuds and gimmicks, but a lot of it was just random matches and rankings based stuff.

Or at least that is how I remember it.

That would have been great. Ranking systems give an air of prestige or importance. I remember wanting to do a sort of, "Tale of the Tape" for big main events. I forget why I didn't. I always felt things like referees and commentators were a missed opportunity.

Well, you were here when the Darkness took hold. I had like 20 different aspects of the thing going around. Flying shoes, tenatcles, superhot Goldust-ness androgyny, BOLDFACE TEXT, destroying buildings, and throwing stuff at fans, poisonous smoke, phasing in and out of existence. I just never knew when to shut up.

Just assaulting people in airports and choking them out seems tame by comparison. Speaking of, I need to send David a check for his tour bus I blew up...

I once drove Scare so nuts, he made out with my mom...I think. I blocked that out of my memory like Katie Vick.

Before I stop my many long posts I have one last person I want to say something to.

Strife. It is my biggest UCA regret that we somehow never really worked together. That we never had an insane, over the top, just plain silly feud or team. It seems like it should have been inevitable, our sillier style and love for crazy and chaotic stuff would have fit so well. But it somehow never happened. I thought about it multiple times but the timing was just never right I guess. I think you even asked me to do a storyling once but I had already made plans. I honestly planned to reach out and finally do something when I heard UCA was ending but then I just never could seem to get the time and motivation to really get back into UCA and I refused to half-ass a feud with you because in my mind that was worse than it never happening and you deserved better because I knew you would be putting the work in. So I let it be the Dream Feud that never happened.

Some of your stuff was to much and you used to take UCA way to seriously, as you know and have said in this topic, but I have always respected how hard you try and the work and creativity of your gimmicks. I'm glad you found some big success later in your UCA career. You were a great part of UCA and I wish we could have done more together.

Thank you. Hearing things like, "Dream Feud" and getting "Mt. Rushmore" type praise seem a bit too surreal all things considered (I also kind of hate the "Greatest Single" anything type discussions. We are all the best in some ways. Mine was being a totally weird ass nutjob. To your point though, things I have done were so far off the beaten path, lord knows what DARKNESS and CHAOS could have done.

That reminds me. I want to thank everyone for bringing it tonight. This was more turnout and discussion than I would have hoped for, since I was unsure of the interest. Unlike other topics, feel free to keep this one going if you have any other stories or moments to share.

5. Lists, Lists, Lists
I remember doing stuff like UCA Rewind, Top 10 lists, OVR rankings, UCA Master File, votals, and notably the Title Sheet. I think stuff like this just added a unique element to the UCA presentation.

4. Roleplaying
I think I have a hidden drive to be an actor, improv, or roleplay writer. UCA was my chance to experience all those things while living my dream out as a wrestler (in a way). Promos, feuding, getting into character, finisher names, developing matches and finishes: all that stuff was a blast. I eventually found D&D, and I believe UCA was the reason I got the bug. What I learned here translates to that so well, and its what I will focus on to fill the void when UCA is done.

3. Tag Team Opportunist
I had a knack for being a good #2 guy in a tag team scenario. Sultans of Swing, Young Guns, Knights of the Night, Moment of Zen, and the Kingdom were just great all around. I usually came up with the names or spearheaded promos or feud ideas, but knew enough (in most cases) to work with the partners and what they wanted. We usually reaped the benefits.

2. DARKNESS!
The impetus for my UCA stint actually started as a running gag on APWT. In every topic start, I pulled off a one-time joke from Prime Time Players manager Abraham Washington. He once yelled YO MAMA at Kofi during a match, and threw a shoe at him. XIII saw me doing this gag for a few months and was like, join UCA and throw shoes or something.

I took the shoe idea, but incorporated the character Cloud of Darkness from FFIII (being super hot in Dissidia and scaring me shitless when playing FFIII DS), worked with some weird Goldust/Kane ideas, metal music references, and the Shoe of Darkness persona was born. I was a perverse, dark, twisted thing, my promo style was in third person, bolded, voted for what the UCA wanted rather than my own wants, and just reveled in building, Strife is totally fucked in the head. I overdid it quite a bit, because I promoted way too much during that first six months. It seemed to catch on better during the Knights of the Night run.

I still feel even now, I cant escape that vibe of inhabiting that character, goofy and disturbing as it is. It kind of represents a Demon Balor or Bray Wyatt to me. I am myself, but when I needed to, all the dark, gothic weirdness manifested as callbacks.

1. 2017
I had my moment when I retired and people gave me a good sendoff. I was perfectly content being Apollos manager to help build the Kingdom label. Promos were my strong suit. Sultan came calling, so I stepped up so Apollo could focus on MITB. I always felt like I will lose big matches, so I was fully ready to drop the match and give him the rub. I kinda wonder why I won to be honest. So I figured, Ill give it a shot as a competitor again. What do I have to lose?

The Taybles Title resurgence, KotB, and the current Kingdom run were just amazing to me. But after that Hardcore match mess, the moment that previously defined me died when I beat David earlier this year. To be told, All that shit is behind you. We believe in you as the Man. was something I dreamed about. I wanted to be in UCA solely to fight back against what Id done to Eaed, XIII, and so many other people. To think it actually happened was special. I dropped my faade as the Last King and just was me during that speech.

Well, thats everything from me. I know that was a lot, and but it felt like bearing everything these past five years. I will miss UCA dearly, because despite some very big problems, I found friends, supporters, and new hobbies that I never knew I wanted. I was here, and I wont forget it.

Stifled and I seemingly were UCA besties, mostly via PM. I fould it odd we never teamed together, since Strifled seems like such an easy stupid pun name.

Then again, all those Serious Survival wins were probably enough.

I had to take it off my upcoming best list, but the Alec suit turned me into Soaring Strife, which was my attempt at being Iron Man. It was one of the few regrets I had, because I wasn't patient and turned heel right as I scored some momentum...cause I lost to Eaed...go figure.

It is s vehicle for a face turn if used right.

I want to thank Emerald and Apollo for the shoutouts. I know in Apollo's case, it seems kinda like fate now that everything worked out as it did. He was definitely the first new guy (i.e. 2013-2014 like when I started) I saw, "He gives a shit about making something of his UCA run from a creative mindset." Not saying others don't, but it just felt like for him, it was more about the story and building his character than winning. Contrast that with Sultan, who is just sheer force of will, and was awesome by existing as "Sultan," and trying in like half his matches, and winning nearly everything else. I developed a "PM to create feuds" mentality because he always thought through feuds as contingency plans rather than "Throw shit still it sticks." Made things easy to work with.

As for Emerald, I can't find a guy who just was a good guy through and through. I think UCA has a lived in problem where like WWE, everyone is some shade of heel trying to outdo each other in that facet. Even people who start face and were really good at it (David and Stifled for example) switched for a time. Emerald never did, and just grew into a comfortable babyface over time.
