Yoshi's Island wasn't too difficult, outside the extra stages, & given you had to 100% the other stages for those, it's understandable they were more challenging. Now if you're talking about Island DS, now that had some ridiculous stuff going on, especially in its extra stages.

...All I can ask is why? Out of all the Star Ocean games, they pick the one with the most vocal criticism. I've never played it, so I'd probably get it, once a Steam sale happens, just to judge for myself.

Just went to look it up, but apparently that MAY not be the case, though there are some issues with it. The original speculation was that Capcom had lost the rights to the English voicing:

According to Rockman Corner, the MM64 would have no problems, yet still never got a Virtual Console release. Also, calls into question why the PSP versions didn't get English releases if those versions corrected the real issue.

A good percentage of the N64's most notable games are tied up in one way or another. Licensed games (Golden Eye, WWF), Rare ( Banjo, Perfect Dark Jet Force Gemini, also Golden Eye), Mario Party 1 won't likely be included due to the rotating games, & supposedly Capcom lost the rights to the English version of Megaman Legends/MM64.

They could maybe make up for it with some obscure gems such as Mischief Makers, Goemon, & Ogre Battle.

I ultimately agree with the sentiment, but it doesn't detract from giving some close buddies who may be unproven otherwise, a chance.

Though again, a lot of success just plain comes from being in certain social circles & backgrounds, with actual skill taking a backseat at some point. For example, it's actually kinda ridiculous how many of America's business & political elites are connected to the same handful of universities such as Harvard & UC Berkley.

We've collectively acknowledged that actual skill is only a single factor & not a decider when it comes to professional success, so I've never understood why people get so riled up at any attempt to balance that for those who don't/can't mingle in the typical "success circles".

The reality is that you probably aren't getting "the best" out of it though. When you consider that, the idea of mandates aren't so silly anymore.

Really, I think most people are aware that a good percentage of their coworkers aren't really qualified to be where they are, but no one wants to openly admit that they're either not qualified or that their valid qualifications had nothing to do with actually getting the job.

I look, mostly because I'm interested in how it was handled, especially given how "triggered" people can get these days. Also gives you some idea of how much detail went into something that usually wouldn't be noticeable most of the time.

The core issue is that other "-as a Service" (software, infrastructure, etc) models in the tech world have some merits, & allow companies to create a continuous, indefinite revenue stream for a single product. The fact games are also software made it easy & tempting to apply the same model to them, as well.

I was honestly wondering how long before something like this finally came up. Government is slow to adapt to the shifting pace of technology, & I was certain our tax laws weren't truly prepared to the Youtuber business model. Combine that the average Youtuber personality probably isn't too business savvy, & more likely just some average person who has managed to strike it bigger than they probably ever truly anticipated, & this was inevitable.

...Tough call, though I'm disappointed they have such an extensive list to include stuff like Light & Mini, yet left Smash off, considering even Dream Collection acknowledged it with the combat chambers. I can understand why, since it's technically just Kirby's SSB moves fit for his platformer controls, but still.
