I don't know, there are quite a few types of martial arts which I'd love to learn, but not because 'it'll save me one random day'. My friends too, they actually go to MMA classes, just to learn. It could be useful one day, but that's secondary for a good chunk of people.

Sorry to hear this, I've never officially owned a cat, but I've had plenty of street cats who treated my house just as theirs. It really sucks, because the last cat (8 month old kitten) I had, well, I'm just gonna say that I had to see his dead body with the head torn in the bushes...one of the many reasons why I still don't like dogs... :/
