Some games require multiple play throughs to see all the endings or beat all difficulty modes. I just play the game repeatedly until it's fully done, so I don't consider them 'replays' really.

Games like this, such as Resident Evil, Gunman Clive, Silent Hill, etc. are actually better by the second playthrough with the speedrun aspect to them.

It's actually my favorite fighting game.

It's a platform fighting game. The best of it's kind. An evolution of Power Stone, and now Smash has a few copy-cats that actually look really neat.

For me, it's the case. I don't replay games because my backlog is huge and it takes forever to fully complete a game anyway. Once complete, I've already done everything the game has to offer, so it's time to move on!

Any strange human interest almost always has a sport/competition behind it.

My brother-in-law recently got into racing pigeons. It's crazy to see how dedicated some of these dudes get. The pots for the races is like 5 grand.

Oh boy, you have a bit to learn grasshopper.

4-5 days a week is enough.
Day 1: Chest
Day 2: Back
Day 3: Shoulders
Day 4: Legs
If you go a 5th day: Arms/Abs/whatever you don't hit during the week.

Cardio can be done 10-20 minutes after every work out or lump into one or two days a week. The 5th day is great for cardio.

4 different exercises a day/ 4 sets per exercise/ 8-12 reps per set

Concentrate on form, don't worry about how much your lifting. I enjoy lifting low weights and SLOOOOOOOOOOWLY. Like 5-6 second reps. Cheat on cardio by having very little rest in between sets.

I think Nintendo absolutely killed it this year. Zelda, Mario, Mario+Rabbids, and Xenoblade 2 is probably the craziest year of gaming I've had in the past decade and a half. Loving 2017 for games, to be honest.

It depends. It typically means doing everything in the game. When developers add a checklist, it's nice to fill it in completely.

In the case of achievements, if I can't get the platinum because of a dead online experience, it makes me wonder why the developers would even think of tying it to the online in the first place. Online achievements are legit the worst.

Depends. In Mario Odyssey's case, it's the difference between an 8 hour game and an 80 hour game. More bang for your buck. Some general complaints over games being too easy or not long enough aren't the case if you're a completionist.

It can border on masochism, though.

I mean, so are us olive-skinned Mediterraneans, but over in the motherland, I have to find one person that doesn't consider themselves technically white. If the subject even comes up, which is rare.

For the past decade though, out here in the west, it's changed a bit. About 50% of people I meet don't consider me 'white'. It's how I've always identified though. Latino's with no aboriginal ancestors look just like me, if not lighter!

I'm a completionist who VERY often gets to games late. When services die off and I'm left with a checklist I can't complete even if I wanted to, it leaves me feeling irked. Why do developers keep tying platinum trophies and their ilk behind the online experience, when they know it most likely won't last forever? Either the service or the games community will wilt. I don't understand.

I was going to go for the big one with Xenoblade Chronicles X. I had deleted my file to start over, and amassed a slew of web pages to help me keep progress of everything. Was just going to finish my current Zelda game (almost halfway through the series, needed a bit of a break) and find out that there's a few achievements tied to the Miiverse. Which is now dead. Great. Anyways, it's stupid, I know. I'm not mad, just lost my hard-on for the game completely.

Figured I'd vent and ask if there is ANYONE who really enjoys online achievements at all? I haven't heard of anyone who's thrilled about them, so why are they still a thing?

You're also leaving out a clause for when an active participant can't/doesn't chip in their $2 and the group wins that week. It's happened where people went on vacation, the work group won the jackpot, and the vacationer sued for a cut (and won).

The modus operandi is I find the swankiest place in the city to dine at. A different one every year (so far). That's my gift to us. She finds the nicest hotel she can that's close to the restaurant, and pays for that. That's her gift. We don't really enjoy physical gifts on our anniversary.

Taking it easy and doing a stereotypical dinner and movie date (pretty much paid for already through a points system I have, shhhh), then walk through the mall and buy her an item of her choice (as long as it's not too kraykray) I'm dropping 6 figures on a house soon, and have been living a less than exciting lifestyle the past year. Gifts and dates between each other haven't been very exciting. Luckily, she prefers Netflix and being wrapped up like a burrito under the covers, anyway. I'm the one always complaining about being boring.
