People have been saying this about EA and Activision for what feels like over a decade now and both companies are as strong as ever. If failing to deliver on promises and monetizing these games to the point where content is either locked behind a paywall or it's PtW won't kill the companies then nothing will.

So now it's possible that the photographer is saying the photo was staged. It would explain why Al Franken said the photo was meant as a joke.

Either Franken doesn't remember the situation clearly because it took place over a decade ago and the photo made him recollect enough of his memories to remember the situation as his accuser alleges, or he remembers the situation clearly and doesn't want to deflect away with excuses and come clean. Either way, he handled the situation somewhat professionally and is letting the ethics investigation verify the claims.

I like Gen 5 a lot. It was the last one I put time into partly because I was still in high school at the time. Having to use entirely new pokemon was interesting and made me learn to like some of them, even if some of the designs were literal garbage.
