The difference in flowers to energy is minimal. Pineapples are still RNG. In 5 Runs of LGD (200 Energy), will you get more, less, or the same amount of pineapples as 8 runs on ELT (200 Energy)? And to be perfectly honest, will the difference be worth the ramp up in difficulty and time to kill LGD?

As crazy said, you don't see pineapples in LGD, you just get the higher ones. Every time you run into a bonus monster in LGD, it's 10k currency right there. My wife runs ELT, and I run LGD. I finished everything last night while she's still grinding ELT looking for the same stuff I got, and she's running more bonus units at a higher percentage.

The ramp up in difficulty is pretty much non-existent. All you need is Basch (who you have), and the final boss won't be able to touch you. You can do LGD with 4 bonus units and your two best DPS, and get a lot more currency/energy spent. If you're that terrified of the trash spawns in LGD, just run from them and only kill the boss (and any bonus mobs you run into).

Youre still wasting energy overall since all you need to clear LGD is Basch (or Mystea). Take in a little DPS of your own (non event) and a friend 100%, quick and painless. To each his own I guess.

This is completely false. Several people on the ffbe board did the math, and have percentage comparisons available. Even without the extremely high rates of bonus monsters in LGD you come out ahead with only a few bonus units.

Im running 3 75%s and a friend 100% with 2 Fry, no issues. I got 16k currency one round, and 10k+ in another 6 or so. Im already done with the event because of all the bonus drops, using LGD only.

With Fryevia, you don't even need a breaker. I had to go through and take him down twice because I was trying to get one of the sub-missions that was bugged. When she doesn't kill him first turn, Megaflare wasn't able to take her down from full HP, I shall not lose, Rikku's limit reraise, and another I shall not lose.
