get out of bed, make coffee, smoke a cigarette while the coffee's brewing, pour a cup, have another cigarette and drink my coffee.

Literally the only time I'll chainsmoke is when I'm tired or hungover. Usually I'll wait 4-5 hours between them.

Kind of reminds me of when you're about to go into a depressive episode. Where you feel like things are slowly getting worse/you're falling apart, but don't do anything about it until you're so far and can't get out of that funk as easily as you thought..

1) Thee Oh Sees. I've seen them about 10 times. They have so much energy, it's amazing. They're all really laid back people too

2) My Bloody Valentine. 2008/9ish and again in 2012. Great fucking show, was really loud. I wore earplugs but still had ringing for three days afterwards. They don't tour very often, but I'd really suggest seeing them for anyone into shoegazer/noise pop music.

3) Dinosaur Jr. I think this was around 2014ish. They played a smaller venue but still sounded great.

4) Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks. 2014? I don't remember. Stephen Malkmus is one of my favorite musicians, but they all seemed pretty tired when I saw them. Not much energy tbh. Still had fun tho.

5) King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Saw them twice in 2017. Pretty good band, they have a lot of stuff in their catalog but get repetitive sometimes. Live they're pretty good. Killed it the first time, half of them seemed like they were on drugs the second time. Still a good show, but their performance was a bit off.

I'm on the patio and a guy working there says smoking isn't allowed on patios cus it's illegal. Looked it up and I guess those were included in the ban when it was put in place.

Weird cus it's the first bar I've been to that says it's the case, and I can think of five near me that allow smoking indoors too...

Drink water while you're drinking like 1 glass per drink, then two glasses before bed.

When you wake up - glass of water, ibuprofen, and then Gatorade. No coffee, makes it worse.

My grandparents are heavily involved at their church and sometimes I'll take my grandpa when my grandma isn't available.

This was yesterday:
Some lady came in with a buy one, get one coupon, but it was obviously a copy. She got mad when I wouldn't accept the coupon, saying "We don't take printed coupons anymore because a lot of people were using copies."

She says, "Well, this one isn't a copy and I'm still using it. Let me speak to your manager."

"Sorry, he's busy dealing with a difficult customer. Anyway, you can't use that coupon. The most I'll do for you is give you the drinks for free."

"I'm calling your corporate office"

I have a futon from Ikea. The frame is super sturdy but the mattress/cushion thing fell apart pretty quickly. That was with a kitten tearing it up, though.

The frames sitting in my basement right now and I'm just waiting on getting a new cushion part

Yeah, I bought some back in late December. Probably my favorite beer I've had in the last few months. Super crisp and kinda sweet tasting. I really wanna try it on tap, my friend said it's even better than the canned version.

Also, something you might like - my friend told me about an app called untapped, it's basically like pandora radio for beer. You can log all the ones you've tried, see who sells them around you, and even gives suggestions. I haven't had much of a chance to check it out, but seemed pretty cool.

What if my mom was emotionally abusive when I was growing up and I don't feel comfortable going to her for anything? I'm just starting to trust people and feel like I fall back into a hole every time I'm around my parents for more than brief periods of time..

Then again, I'm pretty terrified to ask anyone in general for advice of any sort :(

You probably need a bigger dress shirt and possibly pants. I usually get pants that are slightly looser than my jeans around the waist. This way I can wear longer dress shirts and have extra room to tuck them in. Just make sure to get a nice belt!

As for shoes - buy a more comfortable pair. I hate dress shoes...They're too stiff and don't have any support and I don't wear them often enough to break them in...Sketchers and some other brand make nice looking shoes that have a lot of cushion on the bottom so they're comfortable and feel closer to sneakers when walking around.

Yeah, a handful. I met them all through catechism at church growing up.

I'll see them every now and then whenever I take my grandpa to church events...They're all pretty weird and more socially awkward than I am...

Idk. Most of the people I've met in Grand Rapids...Pretty much everyone in the Bloomfield Hills/Birmingham and Rochester/Troy/Auburn areas...Royal Oak and Berkley aren't as bad, but still cesspools of hipster-dom in my opinion.

Older people in Michigan are all nice as fuck, but the young ones? Blech. I'm including myself in that too, I'm pretty shitty.

Michigan...really? Top 20, sure...but number 1? No way.

We have good beer; better than most states. I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.

Also, our state is hipster central. You're either a full blown hipster/indie kid, super preppy, or a redneck if you're in your 20s in this state..

Main reason we can't be number 1: the only thing more toxic than the water in Michigan are the people living here.

This. When it comes to work, I don't trust anyone's word unless there's a paper copy of it.

They could easily just say "uh, no, we didn't give you the job" and leave it at that. I doubt it'll happen, but it's possible. Best to not risk it, imo.

Buy a large pizza or two

Eat what you'd normally eat and wait for the pizza to cool down. Wrap individual slices in seran wrap and stick them in the freezer. Now you have pizza for up to about a month..
