Having reread this, this is basically true, it's just worded in a way where the regret and apology is implied heavily without saying it, but an apology should've been worded far more straight forward than that. I guess that's why I felt so torn after reading it. Good spot.

Why does he need to apologize in this public statement? He's directly apologized to these women privately and unprompted before the article even surfaced. This isn't his apology to them, it's his public statement about what he's done to us.

the average person does not know that he did reach out to some of these people, for one

but mostly, it helps us feel as if there's some genuine remorse or contrition if a person actually apologizes, rather than dancing around it for 500 words

I disagree, and I'm not about to start lambasting people over gossip. People read into things as they want and it would be incredibly naive to start believe everyone having a pop about something currently. That isn't to say he's innocent but that time will tell, and right now everyone's falling on their own swords trying to be the bigger person. I'mma let the dust settle.

Unfortunately if you've ever been to any kind of Warped Tour type festival, it's pretty easy to see how this is more than likely true. Underage girls adore lead singers of punk/pop-punk/emo bands, and that was an especially big thing during the time period in which Brand New rose to prominence.

No one is escaping this without someone whose work they have enjoyed previously being caught, whether it's Louis CK, Brand New, Cosby, whomever. Everyone is going to have to figure out how to reconcile the art with the monsters who created it.

I didn't get to see the Celtics game, but I saw Seabass say that Baynes had a bad game. It was his best offensive performance of the season by far. What was so bad about it?

He really got manhandled by Julius Randle in the paint. The Celtics were much better defensively when Theis was in the game, but Theis got called for some real nickel-and-dime fouls that put him on the bench. Baynes got hot on the offensive end while this was happening - in large part due to Kyrie kind of gassing him up - and Stevens rode that as much as he could.

Former Boston news anchor Heather Unruh held a press conference with noted attorney Mitchell Garabedian (who represented victims of the Catholic church scandal) to explain how in July 2016, Kevin Spacey sexually assaulted her son last summer on Nantucket.

Spacey allegedly got the 18-year old drunk, then thrust his hand down the victim's pants and grabbed his genitals. Spacey insisted he come to a private party and drink more. When Spacey went to the bathroom, the victim ran.

The matter is still within both the civil and criminal statutes of limitations, and the Nantucket police have begun a criminal investigation.

Unruh also implies that she is aware of a number of victims of Spacey who have yet to speak out that she thinks will do so soon.
