Kinda, my problem is they're dead. It's absurd with all the magic power and tech the kingdom had that Porre would topple it. Porre was also reformed in a sidequest.

They aren't dead per se, it was a future where Lavos was never a thing, so it is closer to say that they never existed.

You're just plain wrong. Anyone who wants people to understand what they've written has to learn the correct stroke order. Otherwise when you're writing quick and not being careful of making things pretty, no one will have any idea what the heck you just wrote. Especially considering how all over the place cursive texts in Japanese or Chinese languages can be.

If everyone follows the same stroke order, everyone will be capable of understanding each other handwritten text most of the time, as it will end up having the same identifiable features regardless of style. Following the correct stroke order is incredibly useful when looking up unknown kanji in digital dictionaries, because sometimes they can get messed up when you just draw complex characters like or . As a plus, following the correct stroke order also helps to memorize kanji.

It means 30 year old chicks can see right through him, while many younger girls might not be able to.

This particular chick, who is much younger, saw what outcome would happen if she were to actually go on a date with this dude, (probably killed and left in a dumpster for ordering something at a restaurant that he didn't approve of) and was able to distance herself from this dude. She's much younger, so I'm commending her on her foresight.

The average 18 year old girl has more dating experience than the average 30 year old man.

Kanji will always be the most difficult part.

I personally think once you get the hang of them, say, get acquainted with 200 ~ 500 you probably already know how to learn the rest of them, once you're advanced it ends up being more of a chore than anything and at some point you'll even be grateful for them because they'll end up giving you hints for the meaning of words you have yet to learn lol. I'm quite in love with kanji though, so don't take my opinion as factual >_>

I find the grammar to be much more complex, it's like you need to completely rewire how to process stuff (unless you're fluent in Korean, because the grammar is pretty alike.)

Thank you for the corrections @Yomi . As always, you are very helpful! Any tips to remembering what particles to use? I mean, I know is for going places. is for locations of where events are. is before .... but I know there's other outside uses for many. I think I have pretty much figured out though.

It highlights the most basic uses of the most common particles, obviously do keep in mind what you said; some particles have more functions (not covered in the cheatsheet) that you'll definitely learn later on. For example so far I've learned that can be used for 1) quotation 2) as a conditional 3) to list things 4) expressing relationship within two things. There are probably more uses but that'll come if you keep at it :P

Yeah. With enough focus, you can cover the specific content that's most likely to show up fairly quickly, and sense the threshold for passing is pretty low, you can coast on the stuff that you don't. I mean, the JLPT is strictly a comprehension check, so there are always ways to game it if that's what the person's goal is.

btw I didn't say it in my previous post but congrats on taking N1, how did it go? I wish I had the opportunity the take them in my country but they don't host the test in Dominican Republic ;-;

It'd be nice to have an actual official paper say that I'm making progress haha

I don't know if I trust that chart's placement of the JLPT levels. Granted, there probably isn't a perfect place to put them regardless; but I just took N1 a little over a week ago, and you have to understand a variety of formal grammar structures, vocabulary/kanji that you would only really encounter on a daily basis if you're an avid enough reader, be able to interpret articles about topics like the relationship between human and animal social behavior as well as the change in society towards understanding everything as some manner of "theory."

Like, I wouldn't necessarily put it in full fluency or academic (because the JLPT simply can't test that far as it is), but calling it "basic fluency" is a little misleading.

This is why I said no one should take it "as is", I've seen other people also say that they aced the N1 after only three years of study and they say it's really not an actual representative of one's real skill level as the Internet normally lets you believe. Heck, even the definitions of what "fluency" actually is vary a lot among people and even linguists.

I only know some random words like kawaii, sugoi, nani, hentai etc

Obviously don't take this literally because your experiences will most likely be different from others, you can probably start reading light novels or visual novels at an N3 level with a dictionary nearby, but to do it comfortably you'd probably need to be somewhere along N2-N1 level (in 6. Basic Fluency [N1] the recommended books to practice and improve your knowledge are light novels ).

I can now only enjoy Game Grumps if they're playing simple games, like plataformers for example, because whenever there's a tutorial or instruction of some kind Arin just skips it and then spends the following three to four videos playing like absolute garbage and raging for no reason.
