I suppose it's just human nature, but my advice to a person who's struggling with school is that the opportunities never end, you can always do what you want and learn what you want. Mandatory school is a prison for the young but once you're an adult people stop telling you what to do.

minervo 12/10/17 10:34:25 PM #1	Unless one of your parents don't work and you're home schooled, there's no way out until you're 16. This injustice has left me traumatized. My home life was terrible and to have to put aside my problems to learn that bullshit in school, nearly killed me literally. How can anyone go along with this and be fine with it. They didn't teach me what to do if you're abused. They didn't teach me how to stand up for myself. They didn't empower me in any way, instead indoctrinating me with slavery. To always do as you're told, is to follow a blind master right into a pit. So I picked up smoking, ran away often, and turned into an outcast. Everything I know, I learned on my own in a vain attempt at liberating myself. Now I'm trying to quit smoking and become a better person, but the mental wounds of forced education ain't healing easily.

I agree that the article is biased, but I didn't see anyone else reporting on this. When it comes to the SA, they are highly Christian and are known to kick people out of their shelters for drug use and other offences. They also run many churches, one of which I attended a few times. SA is not perfect like anything else but at least they're trying to help, but only will help those who want to be helped.

I was at mcdonalds the other week and the people working there were so stoned out of their minds they forgot my coffee order and couldn't hand me an extra cup without knocking it over. They also couldn't look me in the eyes. I don't hate weed, but I do hate it when people act like it's harmless and could solve all our problems.

When I was 16 and still hadn't been baptized yet, my mom had me go through a course to get me ready for it and I did. I regret this. I wasn't baptized earlier because I already had doubts. Pushing me into this only delayed the inevitable and left me in deep depression for years while I struggled with losing my faith. Waking up each day unable to believe but sure you're evil for not isn't pleasant. My children's religious choices are their own. I won't force them into anything. According to some Christian doctrine, infants who die unbaptized go to limbo purely because their parents failed to make the rite of passage into Christendom. Don't know if I agree with this though.

I am proud to be baptized but when it comes to circumcision I'm indifferent. Don't know why Americans are usually circumcised, thought it was a Jewish or Muslim thing.
