Places like 538 give Jones about the same odds as Trump did heading into election day.

Nothing against Jones, I actually like him quite a lot and this isn't the same "why couldn't the Dems find a good candidate" thing that happened in the last couple big special elections. He's actual a good candidate (although if the Dems could've found an anti abortion candidate they might've actually won - but overall I think he is a good candidate). He just isn't winning in Alabama. There are a couple weird polls, but almost all of the closing polls show it going to Moore. He has a huge built in advantage. His scandal is a month old. 80% or Republican voters in Alabama didn't care or thought better of him after the scandal.

Looks like Franken is likely to resign tomorrow after basically half of the democratic senators have called for his resignation. If he does, both Franken and Conyers will have been removed within a month or so of allegations breaking. Surprisingly good job by dems!

Franken's mistake was clearly not blaming this on a vast right wing and anti-semitic conspiracy. And that the picture was doctored by the Koch brothers. It is important, because I'd say 99% of the Republican opposition for Roy Moore boils down to "just don't vote, it isn't worth it". Ben Shapiro has been hugely critical of Moore, but his solution is just to recommend abstaining from voting for either (which is also what he did in Hillary vs. Trump).

Outright endorsing a democratic candidate is huge considering the current political climate. A lot of the negative response I've seen has been "BUT YOU VOTED FOR THE TAX CUTS SO YOU ARE A FRAUD". Like...yeah, he voted for the tax cuts. He's the third most conservative senator. Of course he's going to vote for the tax cuts.

It is important to recognize people who are doing the right thing, I think, I not just have a visceral "oh you're a republican so you've done x,y, and z that I disagree with so I oppose anything you do".

I can't think of a more egregious flagrant act of asshattery in an NFL game. I'm sure there are plenty from like the early 90s and before when the league was much more violent, but not only was the violent, it was cowardly. And the game was already over. I think it is far more likely my remaining two players can't pick up the 14 needed and my nosedive continues, imo. Ever since Watson went down my team has been HOT GARBAGE so it kind of sucks I'm backing into a first round bye based on the strength of my team initially. Whoever plays me in the second round should be in really good shape as it is basically like playing against one of the bottom tier teams in the league now.

It would really suck if FFD loses by less than four points and he misses the playoffs because he played Detroit instead of literally any other defense (or no defense at all!). His team is definitely better than mine and I just got lucky the Rams defense was incredible again.

I'm glad it has a following, though, because it's a lot of fun.

I played a whole bunch after I saw it on the "top games" section of Twitch. It is one of those games that the developers are serious about improving/tweaking so it has actually improved a lot since its official release. Still some occasional glitches, but I think it is far and away the best of the asymmetric multiplayer titles that were in vogue for a little while.
