The average salary for NFL players as far as I can tell is anywhere from 2-3 million true, but you have to remember the high end players tend to make the big money as long as they get to their second contract. The vast majority of NFL players, something like 70%-80% only play 3-4 seasons at most and wash out of the league making up to like, 400k-700k salary tops. Now don't get me wrong, it's still a lot of money in a short period of time. But I think a similar peer group would be more like lotto winners compared to millionaires who may have built themselves up in a more stable and traditional way. --- |
