It's also an indie game and I think it's their first time, so definitely wary.

One of the co-founders of the studio making it, Daniel Vavra, was the lead designer on Mafia and Mafia II I believe. So he's definitely got experience making video games.

Don't know about the rest of his team, though.

I'm probably going to end up pre-ordering this at GMG (since they have a 20% off voucher) the day or so before it releases.

I've tried to read and watch as little as possible on this so as not to spoil too much for myself, but from what I HAVE seen it definitely looks and sounds interesting. And if your comparison to New Vegas ends up being spot on then I'm sure I'll really enjoy it (seeing as I absolutely loved New Vegas).

He doesn't just make excuses about why he lost, he straight up says nasty (and sometimes racist) shit about the people he loses to.

I just recently played through and beat Dark Souls III. There were a few troublesome areas for me (like the swamp area), but all in all it wasn't too bad. I even managed to beat the hidden (and hardest) boss in the game on my second try (although to be fair I power leveled to like LV140 and even then I was down to almost no life when I won).

It was great. Definitely better than 2, but not as good as 1 and Bloodborne.

No, this is actually like a spiritual successor to Frank's Adventure made by someone else entirely.

It's supposed to be fairly short, but it is a sub $3 game and I do kinda dig the artist's style (her name is Raf or Rafchu I think).

Mafia 3 gets a bad rap from that disastrous opening release. It's a great game with a great story, but too bad people will only remember the pre-patch glitches.

Eh, while it's true that the launch of the game was extremely rough (especially on PC) I don't think that was the big deciding factor on why a lot of people didn't like it and/or were disappointed with it.

The big issue with the game (at least in my eyes) is that something like 70-80% of it is just going into each neighborhood/area, doing the same side missions over and over until you can take out or recruit the two racket bosses for each area, then the final mission of the area to take out the boss running the area and finally assigning the area to one of your underbosses. You end up doing this like 9 times I think. Now this would be more bearable if there was more storytelling to go with those repetitive neighborhood takeovers (outside of the boss mission for the area), and maybe more variety in the missions required to take over each area (maybe make each area unique from the others), but there isn't.

To me this is what completely ruined the game for me. The opening missions, boss missions and main story missions were mostly great, the overall story was interesting and Lincoln and a lot of the characters were fairly compelling. But the crazy repetitiveness of the majority of the game's missions is what made it such a disappointment to me.

No PC version yet.

I'm fairly certain they're just gonna do what they did with GTAV and release it first on consoles, and then release it 6-12 months later on PC (to profit off of double-dippers).

Yeah, while Third Strike is the better overall game (better gameplay, larger roster and better overall voice acting) I still feel to this day that 2nd Impact is far superior when it comes to most everything else.

The character portraits, UI and win/loss screens were WAY more stylish. And each character not only had their own stages (instead of most sharing stages like Third Strike), but a lot of them had transitions between rounds. And honestly I think the overall soundtrack was stronger in 2nd Impact.

Well after a quick Google search I saw the VTMB wiki has a note about this quest recommending a sneak level of 4 or higher.

Don't know if that's true or not, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to try.

Are you just placing the cameras and leaving, or are you also accessing their computer to activate the cameras? Cause you have to do that before leaving.

Other than that I don't know what else to say other than they may still be noticing you. I've never had that issue in any playthrough of mine.

To be fair Mass Effect was published by Microsoft in 2007 I believe. It wasn't until 2008 when EA took over.

That being said there's also Crysis, Rock Band and Skate that came out in 2007.

Matsuda is also quick to quash premature reports of Deus Ex's demise: "We have never said anything about discontinuing that title but for some reason that's the rumour out on the market.

"What I can say is Eidos Montreal has always developed Deus Ex, and the issue is we do not have limitless resources. We have several big titles that we work with and that's partly a factor in what our line-up looks like. The reason there isn't a Deus Ex right now is just a product of our development line-up because there are other titles we are working on."

He went on to add that Deus Ex is also a "very important franchise" for the publisher, highlighting its unique position in Square Enix's portfolio as a first-person title, and added: "We are already internally discussing and exploring what we want do with the next installment of it."

It's not dead, but there's no telling when the next one will be out. It's a shame cause I actually loved Mankind Divided (it had its problems, but I feel the complaints were overblown), but at least it's not dead.
