Dust an elysian tail - stupid ending
Subnautica - relaxing

Man, I was surprised at how much I would come to love Dust! But it became a really easy game once you figured out how to almost constantly do that flying-spinning/slashing-thingie while you rounded up all the enemies around you :)

Game was enjoyable, easily breakable with schematics. Dust had a reserved personality but he suddenly becomes enraged captain kirk and gains an intense connection with the anthropomorph girl. Wish the game wasn't cut short and reconciled with a rushed finale.

True, but hey, what can you do when almost the entire game was practicly made by one guy alone?
For one guy, I personally think that's an impressive feat and game..

I probably just have a low standard when it comes to games, something I decided to do for myself about twelve years ago.. logically it makes me enjoy more games for what they are and not what they could've been :) and I'm sure there are many more like me around that thinks the same way.

But yeah, that ending kinda rubbed me the wrong way, he could've just used the "flying-spinning/slashing-thingie-ma-bob" outta there -_-

Finished: Crash Bandicoot (PS1)
Playing: Cosmic Fantasy 2 (TG-CD), switching back and forth between the US & Jpn versions

I have fond memories of Crash Bandicoot from when I was a teenager, I remember when my cousin got a PlayStation and got it modded so that he could import Final Fantasy IX from the US.. good times indeed ^_^

I can't remember the last game I finished :O

I don't really play many games anymore, mostly I'll just keep going back to Sims 3 as I looove building and decorating houses in there!

BUT today I have been playing some Donkey Kong Country on the old SNES

Donkey Kong Country is awesome!

I feel like the second one is better, but I didn't care so much for the pirate theme..
Last game I played on the snes was the newest game for my collection, "Super Aleste" (Space Megaforce)! Such a fun game XD

Tried "The Sims" a looong time ago, it wasn't for me, but a close friend of mine played it for years, until she got married and became obsessed with working out XP

Finished Crisis Core about a week ago, working on Dirge of Cerberus now. I'm doing a FF playthrough getting 100% in each game.

I had the japanese version with english subtitles downloaded on my modded psp many years back, but I just wasn't feeling that game, tried though, maybe I'll come back to it some day.

Ah yes, "Dirge of Cerberus".. bought it back when it came out, but I was incredibly dissapointed..
The graphics were sweet, the cgi scenes were like eyecandy (anything with Cloud in it you know XD )..
But the controls, ugh, so akward and sluggish, but that's just my opinion, I'm sure there are people who really like that game :)

Two concerts.. two occasions of pure torture..

I was given free tickets to both..

Spice Girls, I had a thing for Posh Spice and Ginger Spice.. don't judge me X)

Backstreet Boys, never in my life have I ever heard so many girls screaming at the top of their lungs! One girl on the row behind me lost her voice like five times I think..

Like I said, these were free tickets from my family and I was like 10-11 years old at the time XP

Went from Metroid Prime to Metroid Prime 2. Loved Prime. I'm not far into the second enough to think much of it.

LOVE Prime 1, though I will pick Super Metroid any day over it X)
I haven't gotten around to my copy of Prime 2 yet, but do you feel that the game is harder than the first one as many have said?
Or is it not too bad going straight from the first to the second?

Derp!
My wife hade to correct me..
It wasn't "Vice : Project Doom" that I finished last, because right after that I went straight to my usual speed run of "Shadowgate" (1987) NES right after, I always blaze right through that game in about 17-20 min so it's no wonder I forgot about it XP
My second favourite NES game! Used to give me nightmares as a kid so my parents banned that game in the house after all the nightterror it gave me XD

I was 20 or 21.. It was a nightmare to be honest, the reason was because I was on a big boat with my wife from Norway to Denmark and we were drinking with some other couples, then they went to bed, but I wasn't done, the night was young, and worse, the waves were hiiigh!
So I was in bed 3 hours before we came to Denmark, and when I woke up, it felt like someone had gone to work with a sledgehammer to my head, and because of the high waves throughout the night the streets wouldn't stop moving.. I was hungover the entire day in Copenhagen and trying to keep up with the mrs and the other couples...
One of my worst early days for sure, and it didn't help that the mrs was pissed at me for staying up that late and that the others could clearly see that I was a bit tipsy and hurting bad..
Sigh.. that was a painfull move, far from my dumbest moment, but it is ranked at nr 2 as my worst hangover..

My first topic ever, so be nice as I'm just getting my feet wet here...

But I'll of course start:

I just beat "Vice : Project Doom" from 1991 for the NES. A really good game for the system with enjoyable music, tight controls and story driven cutscene between levels..

And two-three days ago I started my first playthrough of "Torment - Tides of Numenera" from 2017 on PS4. Had my first fight there after 18 hours so yeah, it's a slow game. Luckily for me I LOVE Fallout 1, 2 and Planescape Torment so this game has just sucked me in from the first minute! I'm loving every bit of it!

So what games have you guys just recently completed and what did you think of it?

And what game have you gone on to next and what do you think so far?

And here I thought I was insane for completing LttP 50-80 times since it was released in 1992 >_>

I have done some calculating, and I think I have spent at least over 1920 hours on that game, most likely a lot more :|

tbh, my current Pokemon Blue save file is around 1200 hours iirc and that was my second file on the cartridge. That's not counting the time I put into my copy of Red or my second copy of Blue. (Granted, some of that time was probably leaving it on while it was in my pocket, etc, instead of saving and closing out.)

Nawh, it's good to be a little "insane" sometimes!
I still haven't completed that one yet, but I really enjoyed Links Awakening :)
there are just too many games in my back log that I don't know where to start..
last game I finished was Vice : Project Doom on the nes.
And now my wife wants to force me to play Suikoden II after my next game, though I'm trying to tell her that I need finish Grandia 1 first, then Torment ToN, and then Suikoden 1 before I can even take that disc out of its cover

..sometimes it's nice being an adult and married to someone who gets you
^_^

Never really caught on the Pokemon wave back in the days, although it was a guilty pleasure of mine to hurry home from school to watch the tv show with my little sister XP
The only games I own by them are Snap and Colosseum, them any good you think? they were among the bunch of games and controllers+console that some guy sold me for practically nothing..

..but I do feel that Suikoden II gnawing at the back of my head and for the wrong reason..

I was so captivated by the story, combat and music that I would never "rush" through the game, so I would say about 55-70 hours each time..
When I did "rush", which was like 2 or 3 times, I used about 35-42 hours I think..
I have done some calculating, and I think I have spent at least over 1920 hours on that game, most likely a lot more :|

I have beaten it 32 times since I first played it back in 1999, and within that first year I got it I beat it 17 times..
It's certaintly not for everyone and I know it has it's flaws and whatnot, but for me personaly, it's my favourite game of all time..
If I ever sell my game collection and I could only keep 1 game then that's the one I couldn't live without.
Went with the mrs to a classical piano concert a couple of months ago and there was only FFVII music there, loved every second of it..
Going for the 33rd playthrough this year perhaps if I find the time :)
Heh, I've even got a brightly lit FFVII neon sign in my retro corner X)
