I made no mention of laws because societal problems for the AA community extend beyond them. In some cases, they aren't upheld with equal regard for everyone. (Stop & Frisk being disapportionatly targeting blacks, absence of Due Process and basic Miranda Rights, etc.) Most AAs still live well below the poverty line, which in turn has created a festering cancer of crime that has plagued the community. (Please try to pull up the narrative that they put themselves in poverty. I dare you.) You know what doesn't help? Police brutality exemplifying dissent with the community and the law enforcement meant to protect and serve them. This protest isn't for what you think constitutes as being second class. This is for a community that even with so called laws, they are not applied to everyman equally. They have a right to protest because it is something that concerns their community, and they can see past their multi-million dollar contracts to see that. You need to back up that claim with facts, otherwise i'm correct in saying these protests are of little value since there is no laws holding back black communities. So you're basically saying despite statistical fact that the majority of AA are underprivileged and living in poverty, they're not second class citizens because there's no law that blatantly stifles them. (To say nothing of law enforcement that has proven to target blacks disperportionatly verses other races) 'Kay dude. So again, show me the laws that keep African-Americans "second-class." I'm getting the sneaking suspicion being ignorant might be your sthick. Mention where I said laws were holding back blacks, not society.
