I absolutely don't want to victim-blame here, but Ange had many years to stop being a brat. I don't know if we can even pinpoint the exact moment where Eva gave up trying to be nice and turned into a bitch, but I know she tried damn hard to get Ange to like her. It failed. A parent can also be abused by their child, and at some point, Eva realized that enough was enough. If Ange adamantly refused to be a part of her life after X number of years (for the sake of argument, let's say when Ange was 12. If we know the exact age, I'll change the number). I know everyone's quick to say 'oh a 12 year old is still just a kid' and that's true to an extent, but I disagree that 12 is too young to start being a good person. I remember being 12 and being fully aware of which parent loved me and which didn't. And I was old enough to decide that if I wanted to improve my relationship with my mother, I had to try, too.

I then talk to her about you guys. I say that Im able to share a lot of stuff from Raka and Popcorn Fairy, but tcaz often talks about spoilery things that I cant tell her yet. I say that hopefully when its all over, she can read tcazs stuff and gain a newfound respect and appreciation for him.

We talk about demons and shit for a while. Shes not as familiar with Ars Goetia as I am, which is surprising imo. She likes weird shit like this. I basically only looked it up back when I played Persona 3 because their pokedex entries would say where theyre from and so many were from Ars Goetia, so it tickled my curiosity.

Ange summons Mammon, yay.

She tries to summon more and more stakes, despite the strain its causing

The professor mentions that a famous western novel used a message bottle to have the killer confess. We dont know what novel hes talking about. Im not familiar enough with detective fiction to guess.

For some reason I dont recall (I didnt write her reasoning right away. This is a few days late), Arria wants to take a stab at her guesses for whodunit. Before she goes through the list, I tell her that I need to work on my poker face. I dont want to give anything away by my expression.

Honestly its a strange feeling watching new someone go through this series while I know the culprit. To me, when I look at the list of profiles, I cant see how it could be anyone BUT Shannon/Kanon. But obviously Im blinded by the truth, and obviously I didnt have that idea when I first played Ep 4 either. When Arria gets to them, Im going to force myself into having the straightest face.

Kinzo: Well he has an alibi!

Something about Ootsukis face bothers her. She says it looks like he has a tori on his face. That somehow got us on the discussion of teratomas, except I could remember what it was called. I knew it was something that a boss in The Binding of Isaac was named after. I accidentally said Fistula first, then said I wasnt sure. I told her how I remembered the name, and why I wasnt sure.
A: At first I was impressed because I thought you remembered some random-ass fact from your anatomy classes!

The best example I can think of is that when I was a kid, I merged part of Pretty Fly for a White Guy with We Will Rock You. I then went through a period where I didn't listen to music hardly ever. When I got older and started listening to music again, I heard We Will Rock You and wondered why the hell it didn't have the lyrics I remembered.

I thought it went like:

You got mud on your face, you big disgrace
You know he really doesn't get it anyway
For you no way, for you no way
We will, we will rock you

Maria gets her witch dress
Arria points out that Marias being referred to in motherly terms a lot, and her new dress is black with a rose-colored cravat. All things that sorta-kinda resemble/point to Rosa. She thinks the new dress is very appropriate to the imagery and symbolism were given.

Maria: See how happy I am!
Ange: *scowl*
Maria: *disappointed face*
A: *snort* I feel the same way you do, Ange. If I were watching this, Id be doing it with a oh this is horseshit face, too.

After the scene change, we stop to eat dinner

Then we return to Ange talking to Prof Ootsuki

Before we even start, I let out a sigh of annoyance since these scenes are just ugh. But I told Arria that I should be paying attention, so she needs to pay careful attention in case my brain cant.
