Nobody cares. You clearly can get any girl you want since they're all asking you out. Go for someone else and stop bothering us.

Wow, you get asked out once and these incels just rage.

Went out four weeks ago on Saturday. She asked me out.

At the end she asked me out again saying shes free the day after. I decline but say Im good for the weekend after.

Weekend after she calls to reschedule for later at night, making lame excuse to come over to my place. Im fine, but when shes ready I say its too late (because I have work thr next day) and we should reschedule for Friday.

Friday she wants to come over to my house at 11 PM and stay the night. Im fine, she declines around 1030 because a friend is in the ICU all of a sudden.

Next day she seems apprehensive on coming over to my house, so we have a very awesome date around town with very good making out and her inviting me to her place the weekend after.

So Friday night came and I invited her out, she agreed to go but sort of just didnt follow through. So the time came to go to her place and she said she was busy with college homework, she asks me if Im fine with Thursday and I am.

And its Tuesday and she opened my snap, saved it, and never replied.

+++

Im chalking this up to: theres probably another guy she likes more. And I shouldve taken her up in hanging out more when she wanted to a while ago.

My response is: mild regret about my decisions while lining up a coffee date for this Friday.

Yeah. I did this recently and girls there as hot as hell. Go to. A more progressive place that thinks sex is okay. I never went out with any, you have to go to Events to meet them, not just Sunday church.

not really old man, but you definitely should have sex before you date anybody now, that is the golden rule fo sure

Fuck? Its gone to fuck then dating?

Time to update the sacred tablets.

Yeah most people I know hook up before they actually date or become exclusive.

i have definitely reached the point where i'm officially old because that seems kinda gross to me.

Hey, to each their own. I'm sure lots of people still do traditional dating.

oh no, i'm not really judging. it's kinda pointless to anyway. just kinda bums me out in a weird way.

Try being 26 with this feeling, like you limit yourself severely unless you date religious girls (then theres opposite problems). I cant imagine how hard it is being 18 with this feeling.

But I feel bad about hooking up and I want to date not hookup.

But from our date, I like her. Id be fine going out a few times then hooking up, but it feels bad after one date. I feel like shed be fine going out hit me again, but obviously wants to skip straight to her hookup as she makes lame excuses to come over to my place opposed to going and doing something.

Then theres my paranoia of getting STDs. I always wrap it, but still.

Im an atheist, I feel bad for feeling this way.

Damn, that sounds tight. What sort of degree is required?

My gf is in med school right now, so I can somewhat understand your feelings of stress

Any STEM graduate degree can get you in traditionally, but now a MS or PhD degree from an accredited medical physics school is preferred. Its officially a medical specialty with residency and everything, but you dont need to go to medical school. If I knew what it entailed before going in I would have done something else, but its not a bad life.

What kind of job do you have?

I have a masters in education and a b.s. in biology. I use my master's knowledge daily (I'm a teacher), but I don't teach biology, I teach space and earth science right now, but I still learned a lot of that stuff in undergrad.

Professionals, I feel, use the knowledge from their degrees a lot more than non-professionals

Professional job in a hospital. The stuff in grad school is used, but is so basic I felt I couldve learned it all in maybe two months, then another two months for research. And I had forgotten it mostly anyway upon entering the job, but reviewing was quick to get it back up.

Its fun. My friend and I both bought full sets (me $260, him $700), but he refuses to play it because hes a PoS about buying things and not using them. Complaining about the 1% keeping him in debt, not how much he spends on random crap that never gets used.

So Ive been playing on Jinteki online.

Problem found. Sounds like you didn't spend much time studying. If you don't use it, you lose it.

Yeah, but isnt this how early everyone studies in college? Though Im not disagreeing with you.

Though I forgot I did put in time each week for homework for physics, which took maybe 10 hours for each upper division and a bit less for lower.

Academia is for the pursuit of knowledge and research. You got suckered in by a marketing campaign if you thought it was gonna teach you job skills. Which is understandable since they market to kids.

People pay college grads more though, so it's not like you won't get your money's worth, in a weird, weird way.

I subscribe to the idea that college should be about pursuit of knowledge and research. I would say my knowledge is low of the field, but after grad school my research ability is high.

HarukaKitsune posted...
College will teach you the foundations of your field, but it's entirely up to you to keep that momentum going after you're done. Besides that, it shows that you have a certain level of organization skills, ability to meet deadlines, communication skills, etc. A lot of people say it's just a piece of paper, and while that's not quite true, it's often building on a lot more fundamental skills than some people realize.

Feel like I know nothing

That's called impostor syndrome. It's very very normal for high achievers.

I feel like in college my organization skills, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines got worse. I feel like in high school deadlines were set and if I was organized I got more fun time, in college it seemed if we whined wed get easier homework and deadline extensions. But imposter syndrome, definitely had that in grad school. Probably now too.

Physics major and studied a day or two before each test and got As. Feel like I know nothing but have a great high paying job where I learned the skills on the job and have upward movement.

College is such a joke. I feel bad for being so undisciplined, during those years, in both my personal and professional life.

I just get frustrated to see college layabouts whose only real positive quality is getting good grades, but I was one. It was such a waste of life.

I'm so out of the loop. Why are these funny or important?

Here is a partial version of it in one big video. The full thing is like four hours.
