I find the Trumpeter interest in this memo while also burying their heads in the sand regarding any Russian connections to be hilarious.

I find it hilarious how the left is totally oblivious to the Russian Jewish conspiracy that was peddled by GPS Fusion in its testimony to congress, part of which made its way into their beloved Steele dossier and was the main source for the politico story last year.

What conspiracy are you talking about? I've read the transcript, and all I can remember about that is Simpson discussing how there's a large Russian Jewish diaspora community with links to Russian organized crime and government that Trump and associates have interacted with.

I don't recall any of that in the dossier, either.

Ah yeah, I forgot about the mention of Chabad, which did strike me as peculiar at the time, as I'm familiar with them as a friendly community organization. The Politico article offers some good background though: 1) Putin directly intervened to make Chabad the primary Russian Jewish organization. 2) Felix Sater, Trump associate, onetime mob-affiliate, onetime government informant, and potentially key Trump-Russia connection, is heavily involved with Chabad.

In any case it seems like it's just (potentally coincidental) background info at this point, and not very important to any outstanding claims or allegations regarding Trump-Russia.

I keep hearing they are losing their shit over it but I have yet to see it. They must be doing it in private.

Trump cultists have a very loose definition of what constitutes "losing it"

I'd classify calling your constituents and the country as whole too stupid to understand the memo as losing it.

Not having access to the underlying materials != being too stupid to understand. Although, as you've shown, the two are not mutually exclusive.

Remember when this investigation was about collusion with Russia?

What happened to that

Remember when Deutsche Bank paid hundreds of millions of dollars in fines for laundering $10 billion for Russian oligarchs? Remember when dozens of Russian mobsters and oligarchs laundered money through Trump-owned and Trump-affiliated properties?

But yeah, this probably has nothing to do with Russia.

I mean, sure, if you want to completely ignore how plea deals work, this story isn't that important. Well I mean it is one of the president's top advisors pleading guilty to a federal crime. Ordinarily that would be a pretty big deal.

Now considering by most accounts Flynn got a favorable deal out of this? He has likely provided something that substantially advances Mueller's investigation. Considering the investigation is already at the point where a former campaign manager is indicted and the national security advisor has pled guilty, there's only a few places left for the investigation to advance. None of them will be good for Trump.

A real-life example (the puzzle is commonly told in these terms): consider all families with two children, of which at least one is a boy. How many of those families have two boys?

Lmao. The hot dog email is random people making a joke about Obama spending a lot of taxpayer money to get Chicago food to the White House.

The movie email is some random crackpot lol. I don't even understand what you're trying to suggest with the locations being similar. So?

Uh maybe I'm completely missing something, but I don't see any data justifying his 80/20 claim, or what "attractiveness" means or how it was measured. Coupled with the highly non-representative sample, the "study" is basically worthless.

I'm a big Python fan. I haven't used Matlab in a long time, but it seems like numpy and matplotlib give you basically the same functionality and similar syntax as vanilla Matlab. I think Matlab is supposed to have some nice proprietary libraries for some fields, but obviously Python also has a large ecosystem of scientific and data analysis libraries.

For a more comprehensive IDE experience, try Spyder or Enthought Canopy. I also highly recommend using either the Anaconda or Enthought package managers.

For speeding up computation, especially loops, I've had success using the numba package, which performs just-in-time compilation of functions as long as they don't stray too far from basic numpy and Python.

Rationing with price control limits the amount of need-based sorting that can occur. And it doesn't incentivize increased supply.

Higher prices incentivize people to forgo consumption so people who need it more can actually get it. They also incentivize people to bring in product from outside the affected area. Trying to legislate lower prices makes shortages worse and last longer.
