I'm sort of conflicted here. Obviously what he did was fucked up, and I really don't get the appeal, but I don't know if he was intentionally taking advantage of them using his influence or not, even if he was aware he had an influence.

Correct. One said no and so he didn't do it and told her that he had issues. The ones who apparently agreed did so because they didn't feel like they could say no or thought he was just joking. Honestly it's still wrong but learning this makes it a bit better.

I'm assuming they were younger (adult, he doesn't seem like the type of person who would yank it in front of teenagers because he's not THAT fucked up) fans of his that he was meeting backstage or something?
