I actually think the problem with the design in the op is too many high saturation colors clashing with one another.

I think the random giant pizzacutter sword (while still having a nonpizzacutter sword on his pants lmao) has a big impact. He doesn't have that pizzacutter sword in that pic.

It's free. The game's about 4, maybe 5 hours if you get the perfect ending.
Most VNs are 70+hours. Salvato did most of the work single-handedly.

It's a side-scrolling dungeon-crawl rouge-like RPGs. That doesn't really do it justice, though. You play a guy who inherits his corrupted ancestor's manor and finds that it is over-run with eldritch abominations. You have to hire a team of adventurers and train them up to confront all the monsters underneath the manor. The twist is that your adventurers actually suffer from stress and madness if they are in the dungeons too long. Darkness causes them to stress. Facing the undead stresses them out. So you have to balance stress management and resources and your heroes to survive.

Edit: I forgot to say, yes you should buy it. It is, without a doubt, one of the best indie games of the last few years. The art style is amazing and seriously reminds me of Mike Mignola's work on Hellboy.

Thanks. I just might check it out. Just started Etrian Odyssey, my first dungeon crawler a month ago and I'm eager to see what else the genre could give. Is the game finished though? Last I heard about it, in 2015ish it was still unfinished and being patched like crazy.

It'd be so funny if they made an entire arc that's ghostbusters-esque, with the main villains being ghosts that can't be hit by blunt force (so most of the heroes can't touch it) and can only be hurt by ghost technology from Child Emperor/new upgrades for Genos or "spiritual" psychic power like Tatsumaki and the ghosts eventually all fuse to become the ultimate ghost that even they can't touch it... and then Saitama one punches it on accident.
It'd fit the mood of the whole series, put in some more "hax" aspects in a superpower series that's really lacking in special powers beyond strength/speed/durability, and establish Saitama as someone that just breaks hax and gimmicks

I also wanted to see him go up against a nanobot cloud. Or someone that is liquid. Really anything that requires more skill than punching.

He does nonchalantly punch out something called evil natural water dragon threat, so it could destroy multiple cities at once that is literally made of liquid.

wtf. I ran both on some shitty school mac laptop. Only problem I got was the occasional freeze which is easily solved by save states >_> (yeah, it's kind of cheating, but you can always resolve not to use save states besides out of technical problems).
And it's not like you need it to run really fast... It's turn based lol, kind of the benefits of turn based. Just be careful to use the PAL versions for RD (and PoR if you want to transfer) since apparently the NTSC versions are a bit bugged.
