| McBonesII 07/30/16 7:38:32 PM #113 | Darknet is a fantastic series, a must-watch for any horror fan. I thought everyone here knew about it already! really a shame that it's not gonna be continued. Finished Slasher finally - overall a solid 7/10 from me. I was skeptical after the first episode, but I liked a lot of chances that it took. There were quite a few "come on!" moments and lots of generic horror tropes that they play into, but it also does quite a few unique things and the production quality was top-notch. | McBonesII 07/10/16 7:27:37 PM #84 | So jealous about Green Room, somehow I missed the launch in my area. Finished reading Battle Royale, watched the movie as well. Not entirely horror, but very enjoyable. The film was a little messy since it needed to condense lots of characters into a little under two hours, but I still enjoyed seeing it - Takako and Mitsuko in particular were very good performances. Fun fact, the girl who played Takako went on to play Gogo in Kill Bill, and Tarantino 100% did that on purpose. There have been whispers every now and again about a remake or television series, and to be honest I think it would be great as a Netflix original. Not much of a horror series, but the murder mystery was what first attracted my attention and there's so much lore and mystery surrounding the entire series that I feel it's a good match for horror fans. Plus it's David Lynch and everyone loves that guy right? I just finished the series (on netflix now!) plus the full-length film Fire Walk With Me and I'm becoming so interested in the lore. Next, Jacob's Ladder is available for free on Youtube through Paramount Vault here:  Finally, I have started watching Slasher but after the first episode I'm not really drawn in. I get that they're somewhat playing into horror tropes, but instead of coming off as unique and interesting it's just hitting me as dull and lazy. Also, I know horror protagonists are generally "stupid", but the first episode has more flagrant stupidity than most full-length films and it really irked me.
