I figured it would be controversial. I thought it was super great. Plus, the song A New Chapter of Trials is absolutely incredible, especially when the guitar kicks in. Really keeps the momentum up.

Playing through SoJ for the first time and a little into case 3. Great game, especially case 2 which might be my favorite case in any Ace Attorney game I've played due to how insanely clever the murder was. How it was committed, the twist, etc. It was just so well done and everything seemed reasonable while some of the other great cases such as 3-5 have real ridiculous scenarios.

The one thing, though, that irks me is how insanely verbose the game is. I am okay with a lot of dialogue, but so much of it is pointless. Too often the characters repeat what other characters just said five minutes prior. The worst is when there are actually flashbacks where the scene replays itself in a sepia tone. This happened most recently in the third case when, I do not think I am exaggerating, the flashback incident had taken place about 10 real world minutes prior. It's super annoying. I get that it is to drive home critical information but damn, give the player some credit.

Real answer though is Skies of Arcadia. I would adore a remake of that game. No gameplay tweaks, no new content, just beautiful new graphics. I don't mean an HD re-release. I mean new graphics.

Same thing with a TimeSplitters collection. No new content, no gameplay tweaks, just beautiful new graphics and 60 FPS.

I actually think Radiohead might fit this description of two hits despite being one of the biggest bands in the world and selling a lot of albums. They've only had three songs on the Billboard top 100, Creep, Nude and High and Dry. Of those, I'd say only Creep was a big hit that most people know. The second song most people know by Radiohead would be Karma Police, something that didn't even make the Billboard top 100.

I loved Ocarina of Time. I had never played a 3D Zelda besides Wind Waker, which I loved, and was pumped to play Majora's Mask 3D and Ocarina of Time 3D when I got a 3DS. Played Majora's first because I found a good deal on it and it was... fine. Good game, pretty tedious at parts, mediocre dungeons but an interesting world, didn't really get all the hype. Played Ocarina a couple months later when it went select and was super impressed. It really lived up to the hype.

Chicago is amazing. Easily the cheapest big city, lots of free stuff such as museums and stuff if you are an IL resident, great food and music scene, winter they deck out thr city with lights and there's a bunch of free skating including a quarter mile long track with slight hills, summer has mutliple free festivals every weekend, there's extensive beaches and the lake temperature gets to low 80s, awesome city. Oh yeah, no need for a car too which is great.

Also what's everyone's thoughts on Apollo Justice? I've played 1 through 3, Dual Destinies and two cases of SoJ. I played like one and a half cases of AJ back in 2011 and got bored aftet I found panties in the exhaust pipe of a car or something. Is that game worth revisiting?

Well yeah you test it on a mammalian model during that 6 to 7 year preclinical time period and then it goes to clinical trials. Oh oh! I'm a PhD candidate in neuroscience who has taught graduate level drug discovery courses and feel qualified in telling you that you are incredibly incorrect! Yay!

Care to explain?

Unless you're referring to drugs outside of pharmaceuticals and/or drugs specifically designed to do such a thing as treatment.

I have a very hard time believing that a drug with such a drastic side effect in two approved doses could pass testing/be approved for consumer sale.

Sure. Sorry if my post seemed condescending.

Let's look at Tamiflu, a Neuraminidase inhibitor. This viral protein isn't expressed within humans, making it a good druggable target with drastically limited off target effects. However, there are genes/proteins within the human genome with some sequences which are homologous for the most part. Now, each person's genome is unique and contains plenty of single nucleotide polymorphisms, or mutations, scattered throughout. Some of these are deleterious, such as for example the APC(min) mutation which is a single mutation in a single gene that predisposes you to colorectal cancer. Now, it is very possible that there exists humans with a single nucleotide polymorphism which disrupts a crucial protein, creating an active binding site for the drug Tamiflu where there shouldn't be. There are human neuramidase's and it is possible some people have SNPs allowing Tamiflu to bind when it shouldn't, thus these human neuramidase's no longer function properly. If this protein is normally expressed within specific neuronal subtypes critical for cognitive function, and it is no lunger working, it is possible cognitive function will be heavily impaired. This is one of the reasons why some people have different side effects than others. You can get more into it, involving how each person has different levels of proteins and stuff, but this is probably the most straightforward explanation.

The reason you probably won't see stuff like this until clinical trials or the drug is on the market is because for FDA approval you need to test it in a mammalian model-- typically a mouse. You might test it in 100 mice with varying efficacy, but each mouse is on the same background (ie tightly regulated and controlled so that their genome is close to identical, think of a family from the UK vs a family from Thailand).

All that said, I doubt Tamiflu was responsible for the person's death but who knows. Suicide is an intense subject with so many factors.
