Have you ever had to deal with a disruptive nephew who won't stop saying BLAMF? Well, I have not, but if you have then perhaps you can talk some sense into this BLAMFing song. It doesn't seem to know where it's headed, which means it's a shame it's not "With go v-train" like that other Sonic song MycroProcessor nominated, because then I could have told it and maybe it would have stopped BLAMFing. This track brings a brand new meaning to the word "scatterbrained". It's like walking into a bar at 3:30 in the morning and wondering why no one will serve you. --- |

It's not a matter of giving up on it. If this song is feeding me, I do indeed bite its hand. This song makes me lose my way like a fallen knight. There is no epic journey here, only stupidity. This other world has taken me to a bad place. I'm being asked to go multiple places because there's no better plan than to do or to die. I choose the sword. Now I am being told that I'd best get ready to fight, and that I know I will. Who am I fighting? The song, right? OK, you got me there. I'll fight the song. Unfortunately, now I'm being barked-at. I've never really been a dog person, but I love all animals, so it's whatever, but this particular dog is just... barking incessantly. And now there's a bridge. Ooh, look at the electric guitar being an electric guitar, who cares. My dreams of this song not being in Final Fantasy 10 were ripped asunder long before the early internet claimed it was a Rammstein track. And now this frakker is literally screaming like he's dying. Repeatedly. And... attempting to time it with the chords. And he won't stop, oh my Billie Lourde, he will not stop, okay, I can breathe now, he's finished. I award points for its decent bits of usage in the game's opening cutscene and the atmospheric beats of the first few notes ahead of the final battles. Nostalgia has its way with me like Princess Margaret at a London bar circa 1955. But I have to level with you: I hate this song. --- |

It doesn't really seem to have upheld the same level of following, though, although I suppose the fact that Frasier "only" ended 13.5 years ago and Murphy Brown ended like 12 years before that has something to do with it. --- |

But then there's the howling. This track begins by systematically purging Hyrule Town of all its cuccoos. As you can imagine, the mother cuccoo is not pleased. She says as much through the talented but nevertheless painful choir which pervades my soul, making odd noises at all hours of the night. I can't in good conscience recommend this song to anyone not named dowolf. --- |
