Aw man, I was into the idea of a weird af Vikings-Jags SB. Now it looks like it'll be Patriots-Eagles. I find that matchup very underwhelming if it turns out that way.

I dont think its overblown, and I think itll be a slow burn rather than a switch being flipped. You wont suddenly have to pay triple to access Netflix tomorrow, but will you over time notice crappier service and be prodded to consider the new Ultimate Streaming Package? Yeah, I think thats where were heading if left unchecked.

Compare it to the gaming industry and microtransactions. You begin at horse armor and work your way up. These companies are always looking for new revenue streams and will continue to push boundaries at the expense of the consumer, and ISPs have even less incentive to be cautious because theres virtually no competition.

What is the budget for the movie? It looks like something that would do fairly well with its target audience, though being release so close to Star Wars is going to hurt a bit. On paper, the movie seems like a good idea, though.

$90M, apparently. Shockingly, I have actually heard that its pretty good, so between general family-friendly appeal, The Rock as a leading man, and potentially positive buzz I could see this doing fairly well.

Hoping Disney prioritizes the Philly princess first.

Yass! I had no idea this happened but I can always use more Ash in my life. This calls for a rewatch.

I see Allen took my advice about making notes mandatory. Just cut to the chase and make me an admin, already. Ive got all the best ideas. ;)

This is a small but useful update, one that should have happened a long time ago but better late than never I guess.

I dunno, the last episode I watched was the fake out death they pulled in the middle of season six. It felt like they were relying on stunts to keep the audience interested rather than telling a good story, and the Negan cliffhanger certainly reinforced that.

Even beyond that, though, I just got a little weary of the shows nature. Theres just no hope, everything is terrible and there is no possibility of that changing. Its just a slow march towards the next main character death. I didnt think I would enjoy watching another two, four, ten, or however many seasons of that.

TopicNEW TMNT will have a black April O'Neal and Raphael as the leader

I will almost certainly not actually watch this, but because we are on the Internet I feel compelled to give my opinion. ;)

Aprils race doesnt matter, of course, her character has been modified between the different shows before so this is hardly noteworthy.

Raph as the leader is pretty interesting, however. If TMNTs has had one constant its been the group dynamic and a big part of that has been the respect and tension between Raph and Leo in their roles. Leo has also never really been the cool one either, so Leos character in particular seems to be more of a departure from the traditional telling. Hopefully there is some payoff for this, not even necessarily the characters growing into their traditional roles but just any compelling reason for this.

I've lived in a few big cities and crossed paths with celebrities occasionally. I think it's a little weird for people to go crazy over meeting someone famous, but if it's someone I like I'll try and at least say hello and that I enjoy their work as long as it doesn't seem like I'd be interrupting them. I saw Scottie Pippen at a restaurant once but I felt bad bothering him during a meal so I didn't try to interact with him at all, for example.
