It's socially acceptable to make fun of Christians because most of the people doing the ridiculing either are or were raised Christian.

I was too; that doesn't make the mainstream sanctification of their ridicule okay, unless that is held for everyone likewise.

There are a lot of conservative people who want to legalize recreational marijuana. Unfortunately the Republican politicians don't.

Theres no doubt that some protesters who claim the mantle of Black Lives Matter have said offensive things, like the chant pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon that was heard at one rally. But before we condemn the entire movement for the words of a few, we should ask ourselves whether we would also condemn the entire Republican Party for the racist words of its presumptive nomineeor for the racist rhetoric of many other politicians in the party over the course of years.

For starters, I dont think Black Lives Matter belongs in the online conversation about whether Americans should be denouncing violence on all sides. The movements end of stopping unjust police killings is laudable; and its leaders and the vast majority of its members openly favor nonviolent means. Plus, unlike Nazis, nothing about the future it desires is inseparable from initiating violence. That doesnt mean it is beyond criticism. It is a large, free-wheeling movement without clear leaders, and individual participants have no doubt acted badly on many occasions, as is true of groups as varied as the Sons of Liberty in 1775, anti-Vietnam War protesters, and the Tea Party. I have criticized Black Lives Matter activists in the past for disrupting a Bernie Sanders event and for the tactic of blocking freeways.

This clip and some background information about it were referenced in another video debunking Black Lives Matter myths that was posted online on 10 July 2016. At approximately the three-minute mark, the narrator notes that the dead cops clip captured a small group of protesters who hung around after the end of the Millions March in December 2014 and were disavowed by the organizers of that event, while video of the official Millions March event shows that it was a peaceful protest:

No one has an issue with the movie itself, and most people seem really eager to see it. The criticism is with the ridiculous and overwhelming attention it's getting from the usual crowd who obsess about race politics 24/7.

Instead of just being able to enjoy a good movie, we need to hear exaggerated shit like this:
