Does anyone else get really bummed out on seeing "remastered" crap released? It's like, you've experienced the good game before, it's literally just the same experience with slightly better graphics/fps. It's not very much to look forward to.

I'd be much more excited to see a release date for that new "Shadows Die Twice" Fromsoft game, if it's a soulsborne type of game.

No one is forcing you to buy the remaster, and you're still getting the "Shadows Die Twice" game eventually. Not sure what you're so bummed about. Both games can exist. Like LinkPizza pointed out, there are plenty of people who haven't played it yet, for whatever reason. They may have incentive to pick up the remaster.

And even if people who have already played it buy the remaster, so what? It's their money.

Xbox always gets shafted badly in these constant console polls the site loves doing, it deserves way more than that.

Well, it IS a user poll. Not like the Russians are fixing it or anything.

Not only that, but the way this poll is worded and the options given make it unlikely to be tainted by spiteful voting.

Im sure theres a small percentage who refuse to vote for Xbox out of sheer spite, but of that group, how many wouldve voted Xbox if they could remain impartial?

Id expect more troll votes on a poll focused solely on Xbox, like On a scale of 1-10, 1 being lowest and 10 being highest, how would you grade the XB1?

Im more surprised PC doesnt have a larger percentage tbh. Expected Switch to do well due to BotW (even though its also on Wii) and Odyssey, and PS4 has Horizon and GT Sport, and Persona 5 (even though thats also on PS3).

I cant think of a reason Xbox shouldnt lose to PC. Most Xbox exclusives are also available on PC.

Doesnt require much work at all if you find someone who is compatible with you. My marriage has been easy so far. There was some adjustment after our first kid was born, but otherwise its been smooth sailing.

that's good to hear. How long have you known the person?

11 years. Married 7.

And I dont mean to paint a completely rosy picture. Like Zangulus, weve had our share of conflict. But a large part of maintaining a long term relationship is knowing when to pick your battles, when to admit youre wrong, when and how to apologize, and when to just shut your mouth even when youre right lol

A lot of living with someone is learning compromise and patience, and being honest, but knowing when honesty can harm a situation and not so much lying to your partner as much as maybe avoiding telling the truth or the whole truth, if that makes sense.

One thing Ive learned is that sometimes when my wife is complaining about work or her family, is that shes not always looking for solutions. Sometimes, she just wants to vent. Blow off some steam. She just wants me to listen, and maybe back her up in her frustration even if I feel theres a better way to cope.

Sometimes, she just wants me to nod and say Yeah! Fuck your boss/sister/whoever! That asshole shouldnt do or say the wrong thing to you! instead of offering advice or a different perspective.

This is just one small facet of a relationship. Its hard to condense all of the intricacies and minutiae of working relationships into bite-sized posts, but if you have more specific questions, Ill try to answer as best I can.

I can say that I agree with Ziggi that you should take time to get to know someone, including living with them, before committing to marriage. And marriage isnt at all necessary. You can have a successful long term, even lifelong, relationship without marriage, including having children and buying a home, etc. It all boils down to your wants and needs and expectations, and whats important to the both of you.

Id like to add, theres an important distinction between the perfect partner, and the perfect partner for you. Your perception of your ideal partner may not be the best fit for you, and thats a tricky concept to navigate. Its important to keep an open mind when dating. Obviously, youre attracted to what youre attracted to physically, and to a certain extent personality-wise. Cant force yourself to love someone youre not attracted to. But keep an open mind. There may be some traits or preferences or ideologies or philosophies etc you feel are incompatible with you, but they may actually benefit you as they can bring you balance and help shape you as a person, if that makes sense.

It came in second place on the PS4 day. As happens every year, this GotY poll is populated by taking the winners of each individual system's polls. Because Horizon did not win PS4 GotY, it isn't on the overall GotY poll. It's very simple.

And yes, they should market games in advance of release. What a silly question.

Then you don't understand the premise... Marketing is one thing; having every little tidbit about a game accessible months in advance is something else entirely.

Then you dont understand marketing, especially marketing in the age of social media and streaming. This is how games are sold now. Hell, I know people, dozens of people, who will not buy a game until theyve seen a Lets Play of it by one of their preferred streamers. Talk about giving away details? Theyre literally watching the game being played before buying it.

As Mead pointed out, no one is forcing you to consume advertising/previews/news on the games that interest you. Dont want to know the details? Just avoid seeking information on it.
