This decade it has been dubstep, trap, EDM, tropical house, indie rock, alternative r&b, future bass, bro country, reggaeton

In the underground many new genres formed or hit a stride like vaporwave, bubblegum bass, bass house, synthwave, kawaii bass, etc..

I think bubblegum bass actually has a chance to influence the next big thing. Check out Sophie, A.G. Cook, Kero Kero Bonito, Hannah Diamond. Dubstep formed in the 00s but a more popular version emerged this decade.

Then she went on about saying she feels like an outcast at work where she has to speak English all the time. She said she gets tired of white people and America sometimes. She grew up in the US, but her parents are from Mexico.

I'm a white guy so all this makes me feel very insecure. She said it wasn't about me.

I think it's reading so much mgtow after my first breakup with my ex. I went into a phase of dating one after the other for a year. I eventually met my gf and we eventually became exclusive after I decided to quit dating others.

My gf is very traditional and independent. She doesn't wear make up, normal girly things, have girl's night, etc... In facr she was a virgin before she met me and very family oriented. She actually has perfect motherly qualities. Her parents are stable and her idol was her grandmother who was a home maker.

However, I've read so much stories of cheating and see how 90%+ of women are on dating sites. I met a lot of these.

I'm looking for jobs like that. It is based on finishing a project individually or with a team. The harder you work then the faster you can finish.

I have grown to hate work where you have to be stuck there a certain amount of hours and get paid horribly.

Don't feel bad or let anyone make you feel inferior!! You must be happy first of all. I quit a $16 an hour job working for post office where I would work 50 hours a week. Then went into all kinds of less paying jobs. However, I wasn't on the verge of mental breakdown.

That's how it feels so much. You finish a job fast and with quality. Then you may waste time looking busy or hiding away to not get another task.

That's what happened to a job I had several months ago. It was resetting sections of stores and you would get your section. I tend to work and not chit chat like so many others. So when I finished too early I would either get sent home or have to go do another section. That just frustrates me so much. You see the people who took their time still working on the same section while you're walking out the door. So I strategically worked around that by working super fast and then slacking off at end. It's really not a good work ethic for many project based jobs.

I dated this one girl that was obsessed with spraying air freshener. She also vaped which made the air even more insufferable. I like to think I stopped dating her because she was racist, but it was honestly the quality of air I breathed around her.

Oh and the grammer Nazi! I dated a girl who just wouldn't let me get by with one text without quoting the text to me properly. She also didn't like the fact I had went on 1 date with a transgendered woman. I don't like perfctionists like that.

One girl came over and we played 1 minute of Super Mario 3D World. She wanted to stop because she said it was too kiddy after we had just played Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for hours. I could never look at her the same.

Girls have such fucking hang ups about sex, it's annoying as fuck. Like anytime you have less than stellar sex because of outside circumstances, it's a personal afront to them.

If I bust too fast then it's a disappointment. Take too long and they think they're not attractive enough. Not rough enough one moment, but then not gentle enough the next. Too kinky and they feel dirty. Too bland and you're boring.

I'm not a light switch. I think women don't realize that men aren't always ready. Sometimes I like to be turned on too.

It doesn't help she was watching some crazy preacher on youtube talking about how men need sex. He was saying men are always ready for their seed to grow. Like a man is 100% the giver and a woman is 100% a receiver based on biological evidence. He was also being homophobic. WTF!!! Toxic masculinity to the extreme.

I'm the one who has tried to meet her family or her meet mine. She has refused and not ready yet. Also, a kid isn't a priority at the present. I'm not stable with my career or ready for that responsibility. I don't like to feel utilized. I like feeling loved for who I am and not for what I will give a woman.

I feel like she just wants to settle and have a tradition life. Like me working full time and her being a housewife. That sounds really stressing to me in this economy.

The fact that she left without telling me any on this is what made me feel confused. She left in a very cold manner and it had me literally stunned. She has done this before a few times. She gets her feelings hurt and doesn't tell me at the moment. She will leave in a cold manner and leave me questioning what the hell happened. Then, she will tell me what hurt her feelings after I get it out of her over texting.

I thought everything was alright though. Sometimes we go at it and I don't finish. We did it over 30 minutes and I honestly got tired and sleepy. It was getting late too and she had to leave. She left in a hurry and didn't even really say goodbye. She only told me later by texting why her feelings were hurt. She said I didn't finish because and it made her realize I never want kids and that she was just a temporary girlfriend for me. She said it's ok that I never want kids with her. That she is not so great.

Like WTF!!! This is almost enough to break up with her.

I also have a degree in music theory/composition. I was unemployed for 18 months after college, but that was because I refused to apply for minimum wage positions. I spent a lot of time volunteering at the downtown library, which was surprisingly helpful in building connections. Eventually I met a guy who knew an attorney at a firm that was looking to fill some staff openings, got a couple interviews, and was hired to a stable job.

Really, for music and art in general, your options are pretty much

Teach (requires certs unless you can build a sustainable private studio)

Get another degree, and then teach at a university (probably as a side gig unless you are actively pursuing a doctorate or are really good)

Make a ton of connections with people who are willing to pay for your art (extremely difficult)

Gig a lot. This option by itself is unsustainable in most cities unless you are creme de la creme.

Do a combination of all of the above (typical successful musician career)

Do something unrelated to your major (what usually happens)

Nice to know I'm not the only music comp major on CE that had a hard time. The one thing that steers me away from teaching at college level is music theory. Music theory in general was my menace. Also, the school I went to was too uppity about academic music. We had a competition to write an orchestra piece that would be performed. No one won that year, whereas year before some boring piece by a popular kid did. It literally made me stop writing music in the traditional way and just totally go into electronic music.

I never want to waste my time again writing music for instruments and performers that will never be played in a live setting. I'd rather get the data and convert midi into game style music or whatever the case. The music composition degree left a sour taste in my mouth in that regards. It gives you more freedom not having to think if the pianist has enough dexterity to make that run of crazy notes. Or if a french horn player can play in that range. I don't want to write orchestra pieces anyways.

My major was music composition. Not the best degree to pursue if you want a career. So I've finally lowered my expectations and now would accept being a music/piano teacher. I may go back to college to get a certification.

Inferno Dive Dragoon I really hope you get something. I didn't have first job until 27. I was sheltered with crazy parents as well. I would suggest lying/exaggerating on resumes and interviews. Don't tell them you lack experience. Experience doesn't have to be from a typical job. My situation doesn't seem so bad after reading about yours.d

Expand side work into your full time job.

I'm actually trying to do that. I like merchandise work and flexible hours. I also like work that is project based. For instance, I like gigs that pay a set amount. Hourly wage/salary is futile with my job flow. It makes work feel unrewarding. Also, I hate jobs that will send you home early because you did your job efficiently and timely. Then, they have no more work for you and send you home. You shoot yourself in the foot for being a hard worker or either milk the system.

I've had so many applications I've filled out. Had so many leads and interviews. When I do get jobs it winds up being temporary/seasonal or either manager eventually gets hostile. I'm an INFP personality and so I can be taken advantage of easily. I don't like conflicts and I would rather stick to a task I can do alone or have freedom doing. I graduated college in a creative field 3 years ago. I've only had 2 interviews within 3 years that were related to that field. One was a phone interview and the other was a video interview.

I'm just getting fed up. I currently work seasonally at one of the crappiest retail stores you could think of. It has a bad reputation and honestly, I just wanted to see how bad it was. So it's just a fluke and will end less than 2 months anyway. It pays minimum wage and not even enough hours lol. In the meantime, I do side gigs that surprisingly have helped a lot. Sometimes it's better doing the side jobs than an actual real job.

This actually just made my day. I love the 4 hour pay requirement if a company cancels work within 72 hours. I quit a job because I drove an hour away to work that was cancelled at the last minute. They just told us we had no work that day and we never got paid for anything. That was 2 hours of my time and gasoline wasted.

This also puts a check system on the employers who figure their employees should be waiting by their phones ready to go to work 24/7. I realize there are jobs in the emergency response field that do require that, but a retailer needing a minimum wage worker isn't in that dire of need.
