IOW music festival in the UK. Yes I did try chatting to people, but most people weren't interested at all, just there like standing around like zombies.

I went to one for the first time today, I went alone because none of my mates are into this kind of thing. I couldn't believe it, I thought I'd have the time of my life, but it ended up being absolute shit!

I think I made the mistake of thinking people there would be sociable, wanting to mingle... apparently not. Starting to lose faith in people's ability to socialise. :(

Just wondered if this is the norm at festivals, or if I got unlucky.

Heh, might be a bit of a problem then because none of my friends are gamers. It'd have to be single player. Brilliant, didn't know they were going to reveal a new one, I'll keep an eye out for that!

I just found out they have a cheap used copy of smash 4 in the local shop so I might take the plunge and see what happens.

Last one I properly got into was Melee. I tried Brawl but didn't bother with it because it felt like more of the same.

Lost my sense of smell for a couple of years, never been as good since.

I wrote plastic retainers for two years, but haven't bothered with them for 4 years. My teeth haven't moved at all according to my dentist, the retainers still fit like a glove. But, I do have a wire retainer permanently attached, so that probably helped me.

Don't forget water was incredibly dirty and contaminated in the past. Back then people only drank things like juice and wine because the plant filters out most of the crap which leaves a clean drink.

It's funny, when we were kids we used to think "why does dad complain about being old all the time?!?" and now look at us... we sound *just like* them XD

Maybe the secret is... just enjoy yourself, who cares how long you've been around?

Maybe that counts for a lot... I'm 27, but only the other day I had trouble convincing someone I was old enough to have my own bank account, lol.
