They will also help out quite a bit during disasters because there's nothing worse for business than when most of their customers become unable to pay for their "services."

And to follow the logic of other people in this topic, why then would going through the second abortion be hypocrisy, then? Isn't she simply changing her mind on an issue? We've established that changing your mind isn't hypocrisy. When does it become hypocrisy? After how many mind changes? What if she has a third abortion? She could theoretically change her mind countless times and never be a hypocrite under this logic.

You are allowed a change of mind, not flip-flopping like a goddamned politician.

Eh, I'm not convinced. I get that people can change their minds of positions, of course they can. I do it too. But if they change their mind on a position after directly benefiting from the former position, then that's hypocrisy to me.

Then you simply don't know what hypocrisy actually is, but perhaps that's because you see abortion as a positive thing ("benefiting") whereas she saw it as something bad after having gone through it once. Now if she does go through with the second abortion after having become anti-abortion, then that would be hypocrisy.

So because you believe that resisting a tyrannical US government today is essentially impossible, we should all just abandon the original intent of the 2nd Amendment which was that every able-bodied man would own a firearm and ammunition that was appropriate for military service (the equivalent today would be the AR-15 or some other STANAG-compatible rifle) that he would bring with him if called upon to serve in the militia if necessary?

The entire premise of your topic is flawed and irrelevant from the very beginning.

Because semi-auto rifles are considered ordinary military equipment (US v Miller) and individual ownership of firearms is not contingent on military or militia service (US v Heller), even if such weapons are not "needed" for home defense, ownership of such weapons are still very much covered by the Constitution.

Unless you can manage to repeal the 2nd (a snowball has a better chance in hell than for this to happen) or you can stuff the SCOTUS with hoplophobes (fat chance), privately-owned semi-auto rifles are an eternal American right.

The Emancipation Proclomation had one exclusion. Tennessee. Johnson's state. Guy literally wanted to keep slaves. The only reason he became President was because Lincoln wanted to appease the south by nominating the only guy that didn't defect from the Union from the south.

Rewriting history now? Several slave states had been excluded on the basis that they were not being controlled by Confederate forces at the time of its issuance. In particular those that were excluded either remained with the Union instead of joining the Confederacy (Kentucky, Maryland, Delaware, and Missouri), have already been occupied by Union forces (Tennessee, lower Louisiana), or have seceded from a Confederate state (now West Virginia).
