If the professor lets you do the test until the very end of the allotted time, debatable. People who get there on time aren't losing anything versus starting on time, and in fact get a little extra because they don't have to wait for everything to be passed out. Although you could make a case the other way that people who came early get an unfair advantage, especially if the grade curve is a big thing in that class.

If the test also ends five minutes early, definitely unfair.

It ends at the normal time however my professor did not repeat the explanation or the error in answer choices. I don't know how much extra time those people got. It could have been closer to 10 to 15 minutes. Since there are 300 students in the class and it would have taken a while to hand out every scantron and test.
