Topic | Konami "localizes" YuGiOh card. Fans lose their shit. |

The problem with Fusion monsters weren't the monsters being underpowered in comparison to other special monster types, but the fact that Polymerization isn't a good card. The best fusion monsters are ones that use contact fusion like you said or a specialized fusion spell that's easily searched with the deck, or can use fusion materials from sources besides the hand. There's a few rituals are still pretty good (like Heralds), especially since it's the only special monster type that doesn't take up extra monster zones. I would say that it's probably still the weakest of the unique summons overall, if only because ritual cards are difficult to splash into decks not focused on them. |
Topic | question about trails in the skys the third *spoilers* |
MorganTJ 03/17/18 3:41:28 AM #8 | I felt that way too at the beginning, but I'm on chapter 5 right now and I think it's honestly for the best. I feel like I might've gotten tired of going through Liberl a third time. |
Topic | What's some good podcasts that are like friends chatting together? |
MorganTJ 03/13/18 12:58:25 PM #2 | Sleepycast is definitely one of my favorites. Unfortunately it's also basically finished, though they did release another episode this past week, so maybe they'll just do one whenever they feel like it. |
Topic | wtf even is yugioh nowadays |
MorganTJ 03/13/18 11:29:44 AM #32 | I actually got back into it because Ojamas are viable now with the new support cards. |
Topic | ITT I read Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run (series spoilers) |
MorganTJ 03/11/18 7:17:38 PM #20 | Where are you at in the story now? Haven't read it in a while. |
Topic | what shounen to watch: fma, one piece, mha or something else |
MorganTJ 02/26/18 4:03:56 PM #9 | You could watch MHA if you wanna be topical I guess, and it is the one with the least amount of episodes so far. Explodey boy's in it quite a bit, and I'd say it balances the shounen battle stuff with the lighthearted moments pretty well. I assume you mean FMA Brotherhood rather than the 2003 anime, but either one's still good. Brotherhood does rush over the plot of the first ten episodes because it expects that you've seen some of the 2003 one, but watch whichever you want. If you have time, I'd at least watch the first half of FMA 2003, and then starting Brotherhood. I'd rather recommend the One Piece manga over the anime though. The anime has the worst pacing, and they integrated the filler into the actual story, so you can't even skip the slow parts. |
Topic | I'm finally giving Dark Souls another shot |
MorganTJ 02/25/18 5:36:10 PM #33 | PlantLivesMatte posted... MorganTJ posted...Make sure you're leveling up Dex and Endurance to 40 if you're using the Great Scythe. Also if you're going quality, you should take up pyromancy, as it doesn't require any stat investments. In particular, there's a spell called Power Within that boosts your damage at the cost of losing a bit of health over time. Your starting class actually doesnt matter much, as you can find any of the starting equipment in the world. You can get a pyromancy flame from an NPC in The Depths. Make sure you roll into the barrel hes trapped in so you dont hurt him. |

Topic | Where do you start with Pokémon? |
MorganTJ 02/25/18 7:00:48 AM #6 | Literally just start with whatever's easiest for you to get a hold of. If you care about what Pokemon you can get in a certain game then you can check before you buy it, but otherwise it really doesn't matter. |
Topic | I finally beat Xenoblade Chronicles. Major Spoilers. |
MorganTJ 02/24/18 2:12:27 PM #11 | If it helps, I actually enjoyed Xenoblade X the most out of the three, just a tad over the first game. It's separated from the other 2 games, but I enjoyed exploring its world the most. I would say it's a bit lacking in the character department, but the sidequests are vastly superior to the ones in XC1 and XC2. Xenoblade 2 also has some good stuff in it. The plot takes a while to get going, but I would compare the final acts of 2 to a lot of the neatest plot twists in the first game. They've also been patching the game quite a bit recently, so all the gripes that people have with quality of life stuff might not apply by the time you get around to playing it. I also liked the geopolitics in Xenoblade 2 quite a bit, though that may just be my tastes speaking. The OST's also very good, and closer to 1's than X's. Glad to hear you enjoyed the first game though! |
